My kipor KGE 1000Ti starts fine but after several minutes stops generating and the red overload light comes on, with the demand for power left connected and the generator still running electrical generation will restart within a short time and the overload light is extinguished, before the whole cycle of generation and lack of output starts all over again. The green light remains on throughout. This fault is apparent with or without the smart switch on, I have checked the stepping motor and this seems fine. This fault does not seem to appear in the shop manual I am only operating a small tv and decoder in my motorhome, so do not beieve that i am actually overloading the generator

Oh, there are many people say the generator can not supply power. Maybe the fuel is not enough or other problems. I recommend you to buy diesel generator set in future, its quality is better and can use for a long time. A website for your reference: www.dieselgeneratortech.com

Read the instruction manual. If you are certain you did everything right and the generator does not behave as intended then return it to the supplier as faulty.
hi
this happens when voltage regulator is at fault .
what happens is that the demand out put is ( volts /amps too high ) and engine power is too low causing engine to stop renew or service voltage regulator
You may be UNDERLOADING the generator and it may be unstable with such a light load... see if it might behave running a heavier load... put a 100 watt light on it as a test,
