We have a Hitachi projection tv model 53fdx01b. We recently moved the tv to our beach house. It played fine for about 2 days then the problem started. The last couple days the tv turns on with picture and sound - after about and hour or so the picture turns darker and goes out but sound stays on. We turn the tv off and wait a little while and when we turn it back on we have normal picture and sound but the problem continues to repeat itself again in about and hour. What might my problem be.
I have had this problem on one of my tv s all i did was remove the back of the tv and re-solder all the joints around the tuner (thats where the arieal goes) they go with time because the joints there get so hot . hope this helps

thanks so much for your assistance, we will give this a try - my husband is a handyman, not sure we know much about tvs but we will give it a try. If the problem is the joints around the tuner would it allow the tv picture to come and go after it cools down?
