I have a Lofra five burner gas cooker. Its 4yrs old.The oven door is not closing properly, as a result lot of heat is lost and the area above the top of the gap gets very hot. How do I adjust the hinges so the door closes tight. Many Thanks.
GS Virdee.
The door is triple glazed.
I had the same problem and took the door apart. The hinge has a spring inside which is held in place by a long rivet. The metal of the rivet is too soft and it bends and snaps. You cannot get a replacement hinge anywhere. I even tried Italy and France. Lofra won't speak to you by e-mail or phone. The next thing that happened was the element disintegrated in the ovan. These are the worst cookers on the market.
Hi,
It sounds like you need to check the fixing screws of the oven, failing this replace the hinges.
I hope this helps.
