You're not providing enough information here. Also, I do not know what you mean by "stack" up there. (Typing error?)

Typically, the system would provide a contextual message before stating "SYSTEM HALTED" on the screen.

For example:
"NON CONFIGURABLE MEMORY DETECTED
SYSTEM HALTED"

Are you able to do ANYTHING? Is there any other text on the screen? How far does the system get through POST before displaying this error? Are you able to get into the Unified Server Configurator/Lifecycle Controller?

Give us more info or NONE of us can help you.

Otherwise, the R9xx series is still new enough that I can almost guarantee you that you probably still have warranty with Dell. You should probably contact them for support instead.

I only buy Dell servers. If this is new, you should have NBD onsite warranty. Get Dell to figure out the issue. Sounds like a faulty motherboard. Good Luck & please post how problem was resolved/

Parity error System Halted

A Parity error is a memory problem. With a server it is important to have matched sticks of memory. It may just be that one chip is slightly slow/fast compared to all the others. You just need to find it!

Processor in incorrect slot system halted error

Hello,

You don't see this often but when you do it means your cpu is not in cpu slot 1. (Usually you are also running 1 processor in your server.) Just move the cpu to the other slot, power on your server and you should be good to go. Be sure to only touch the edge of the cpu and not any of the chips in the middle.

Good Luck

This happens when the BIOS does not recognize your USB keyboard.

To clear this error:

upon start up Enter BIOS Setup by pressing F2 or F12 (whichever BIOS software it is running). On the main BIOS window change the "Halt On.." value to "No Errors". Press F10(Save & Exit) then hit Enter key to restart.

Hope this helps.
