Red is Common hot
Blue is power antenna
Yellow is stand By
Black is ground Radio and Car should Be SaMe ColorsBlue is not Nessicary uunless You hare Power antenna Yellow keeps Time and Channel memory Red Black is a must

It sounds like the the ones with red and black stripes are possitive and negatives for your speakers then the others are positives also you would need a 12v test light to see witch wires have power to them and go from there

I have yellow blue red and black how to hook those up?

Unless he connected the black to positive and the red and yellow to negative, it should not have fried his dvd player.
