My son set a privacy password and now cant remember it. how do i get in to reset password?

Method 1: From Startup (Tab 4)

1. With the device off, press and hold the "Volume Up", "Home", and "Power" buttons.
2. Release the buttons when you see the recovery screen and the Samsung logo.
3. Use the volume buttons to navigate the menu and select "wipe data / factory reset". ...
4. On the next screen, press "Volume Up" to continue.

So you changed your password and now you don't remember neither the old one nor the new one.
Maybe you remember some previous one?
Do you have an alternate email where they can sen the recover option?
Is your cell phone registered?
Press "Don't remember password" and these are the options you have to recover your account.

If it's an android device...
1. Enter wrong pattern 5 times and wait for 30 seconds.
2. Select "Forgot pattern" and enter your email account username and password.
3. Make sure you use the same account that was used to activate the device and double check the password by logging in to that email account in a browser.
4. If you don't have access to the original email account, you will need to do a hard reset and loose your settings and apps on the devcice. The data on the memory card will not be wiped though.
Note: if you can't remember your email password, you will have to visit the email service support page to get it reset.
