My daughter has a sweet pea scooter that had been blowing fuses and the motor got hot. Im sure the motor is shot. but my question is can anyone tell me if the motor would be the only thing I need to change or would the contoller and or batteries need changed as well
Find out whether it is 6 volts or 12 volts and there should be two wires that feed the motor either cut or splice and attach another set of wires with fuse in the line (simular to jumper cables) raise the back tire so it does not touch the ground and place jump wires to the negative and positive of the battery.
If the motor moves in either direction without blowing the fuse the motor is good if not then its bad. Uses the same amperage fuse

smonahan, The rear wiper fuse is actually a circuit breaker. It will reset itself.
Your wiper arm has probably stripped were it attaches to the motor shaft. You can check by trying to move the wiper arm with your hand, if it moves back and forth, its stripped. A new wiper arm will be needed.
Try it and let me know.

OK, looks like your temperature control cable is damaged. you will need to replace this.
SOURCE: starter enabler fuse blows which means the starter motor does not work until fuse is changed
It is possible that the starer is pulling too much amperage- 1st thing you need to do is find out what if any other consumers are on that circuit, 2nd you need to find out how much amperage is being consumed by the starter. 3rd test you wires most likely if a wire problem it is the heavy hot wire on the starter or the back of the alternator has a loose retaining nut

The horn and rear brake lights are on the same fuse. Eventually the horns rust out like on my 1998 CRV. Once I replaced the horns, I could put in a new fuse without it blowing every time I sounded the horn. Problems still remain, namely: the cruise control does not engage and the remote start only starts the engine that runs for two seconds then dies. Still looking for an answer. It's a "Code Alarm" with Codestart dated 11/24/99.
