Your router needs to be re provisioned. Does the power light stay red and all others green ? If so, then call your ISP and make arrangements to have it swapped. If not, then try these:
Admin: password or Admin:password.

Therse are universal user and passwords for any router

Connecting to a "2WIRE" wifi connection. Says the

Hi,

I understand that you are having trouble connecting your Nintendo DS wirelessly to your 2Wire router. The solution is simple, your Nintendo DS only supports WEP (Wireless Encription Passkey) security. It is highly possible that your 2Wire router's wireless security is set to WPA. That means you will need to reconfigure your router so that it will be utilizing WEP as a security for your wireless connection. To be able to do this, you need a couple of information from the one who setup your router. 1. User name of your router 2. Password or your router.

Once you have gotten this information, you will need to access your router configuration page through one of the computers that is linked to your 2Wire router by typing http://gateway.2wire.net on the address bar of your browser.

It will be asking you for the username and password. If nobody had setup or changes the username and password of the router, use this default username and password of a 2Wire router. Username: (none) Password: Wireless or Username: 2Wire and Password: (none). Try any of the two. If it does not work, try admin and the word password for the password or any other combinations of the two.

Once you have entered the router's configuration page click the Home Network Tab and then click on Wireless Settings. You will see there a portion that says Wireless security. In that area, you will see a drop down where you can choose what kind of wireless security you want on your system. As I have said, the Nintedo DS does not support any other wireless security setting but WEP. That means you will need to change the drop down to WEP. That also means after changing this, you will need to reconfigure your other wireless devices (like your laptop) to use WEP as well.

I got a bran new router 2wire and it did not come with the wep key code the sn number is 940919052035

Hi,

WEP key should be created by you. By default, router's wireless network is unsecured meaning there's no password or WEP key setup on it. Please run the disc that came along with the router and on the process of configuring the router setting up a WEP key is part of the process.

Thank you!

I have a 2wire gateway with 4 routers i have a desktop on it with a dsl cable line and two laptops on wireless going to the router. So that is 3 computers on the 2wire. I am trying to connect my third...

it depends on what type of OS that you are using. But the key point to this is that your computer was able to see your network, usually your network name would be 2wireXXX (the X is the 3 digit of your serial number of your 2wire modem or router. if it is asking for password or wep key. the wep key for your 2wire is the number enclosed in a bracket, that is usually 10 numbers below the serial number

2WIRE 874 I DONT SE THE WEP KEY

The Wep/Wap key is generated inside the router when you set up, IF you do NOT know the "Key" you will have to get into, login to. the router via a Browser, and Generate an new Key,in the Security Section, Now, copy this Key down, I usually copy paste to a notepad document, and save. Then when you access the router from a Client you can simply enter the data from that document, you stored on a USB key use on the client. You could also simply write it down on paper too.
