if the theft light is flashing fast, the PATS(passive anti-theft system) can only be reset with a ford scanner... you can try leaving the key in the on position for a little over an hour, sometimes it works.

you will need to pull radio out and retrieve s/n off of stereo. with s/n i can get anti theft code for you. if you need help with removing radio let me know.

if the theft light is was flashing on you, put the key in the ignition and turn all the way until the instrument cluster lights up, just don't start the car. leave it like that for aprox. 10 min. or until light goes out. when that happens, turn of(don't take out keys) and try to start car. hope it works.

quite easy take the door panel off and look inside ,now dont quote me here but i think the switch part isnt turning all the way to release the alarm ,its turning one waybut not the other ,maybe a drop of engine oil squirted up behind the mechanism wll cure it as it often does for me .
