What are the Reasons why One touchy door open button is sticking on FGM0205KBB microwaves

Good afternoon friend, thank you for the post!

I understand that you are stating the door open button is continuing to get stuck on your Frigidaire microwave. I would like to ask some additional questions to make sure I can provide additional assistance. First, which button are you referring to that is sticking? When I pulled up your model FGM0205KBB, I do not see a door open button. Could we verify the model number is correct? Once I have that information I look forward to assisting you. -Matt

Over the range microwave oven

The problem is the release spring is broken or the button is sticking, pick up a small can of electronic cleaner attach straw and spray into the button crevis to break down the crud, grime, and dirt this should help release the mechanism.

On a goldstar microwave oven model mv-1500mg, after pressing the light button, there was a bang and then no power to anything. I have checked the electrical outlet and there is no problem. Thanks for your...

If your appliance has absolutely no functions at all, remove it from the mains supply, remove the case and see where the mains lead goes in to the appliance and follow the cable until you find the main fuse.
ONLY USE THE SAME TYPE AND RATING OF FUSE TO REPLACE IT.
The usual cause of this fuse failure is the door switches are contaminated or sticking. Check the door switches before putting power back on to the appliance.
Hope this helps.

Fan Button doesn't work

HI, in most cases, the button will be fine. there is an error code that will illuminate on the control if the touch pad starts to malfunction(sticking buttons). this is more likely an issue that concerns the integrity of the fan motor. have it tested. replace it if found to be defective.

Hi. I have a Panasonic Genius 1100 inverter oven. The lamp failed some time ago, but now the fan and turntable keep going even when finished cooking. Would this be a complex DPC problem? Could it be ...

This is usually caused by either a bad door switch, a loose door switch mount, or a problem on the control panel (such as a sticking relay).

Even though a door switch clicks, it may still be bad inside. Its continuity must be checked.

Door switch or mount trouble can be caused by slamming the door or by opening the door while it's cooking without hitting the Stop pad first.

If you or someone you know decide to look into it, we have critical information on safety, disassembly and door switches at our site, and our link is at our
listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk

If you think the problem is on the control panel, we repair these nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in most cases.

We're happy to help and we appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
