Why does my 800 keep going off, then back on again, but itself ?

Please take out the main board, keep it immersed in mild liquid detergent solution for some hours, rub it thoroughly with a tooth brush, wash it with clean warm water, dry it thoroughly with hair drier and fit it back. Hope it works. It has done the trick for me several times.

Perhaps, it is a faulty PCU. Try by shutting off power and using another but wait a few minutes before turning it on again.

I would start checking capacitors on the pcb's.

enter the bios and go into advanced settings(if i remember right its page two) select lcd screen for maiin and secondary display and it should stop it reverting to the external display(which is the reason you have to hit FN +F7)

I am having the same problem and will report back here if I find an answer. If I keep turning mine back on, wait for it to go off by itself. Turn it back on again...and again. Eventually I can get a cup of coffee. But my one-minute coffee cup usually takes 15 or 20 minutes.

Mine was a gift, so I'll probably just see if I can swap it out.

Ours just started doing this exact same thing this past Friday - 12/11/09. What's going on? The cook power just starts beeping all by itself and going from 10 down to 1 over and over again. It may stop momentarily, but then starts again within a minute or so - it's constant until we unplug it. We plug it back in and within a few minutes it starts doing it again. What gives?

several things, cooling fan out, bulb going out, lamp ballast or the power supply board could be failing. call 1-800-samsung for nearest service center.

could be overheating, when its cooled down will go again, make sure your filter is cleaned and the hose is not blocked
