According to the manual (pg 20), it appears the bobbin turns clockwise in the bobbin case. So when the bobbin is loaded and the thread pulled, the thread direction goes right, then doubles back through the tension mechanism to the left.
Is it the walking foot that is squeaking? No one mentions that the moving metal parts need a touch of oil to keep the walking foot working. Just be sure to clean off any excess before using on your fabric.
Your machine could be out of time. When you turn on does it stop or stitch a couple switches. Belt could be worn out as well. How old is it? Thank you very much. Please leave some feedback or more information so I may help you.
Have you replaced your needle first. Sometimes simply a new needle will do the trick. That Juki being a straight stitch only machine make it simple. When the needle reaches its lowest point and then starts back up about an eight of an inch. The point of the hook should be slightly above the eye of the needle and be directly behind the needle shaft.
Domestic sergers usually sew 1500 stitches per minute, you can't increase this. You can make the stitch longer which will move a bit more fabric through with each stitch but obviously you need the stitch to hold the fabric too.
If you find this is not fast enough for the volume of work you need to do, then shop around for an industrial machine. Usually built into a table, and designed to feed very fast. Try the Juki website, they do a big range of industrial machines such as these http://www.juki.co.jp/industrial_e/products_e/apparel_e/cat6/
Your machine needs a trip to a repair person-sounds like a defective or loosened part. Also, contact Juki about this problem. I've had various problems with my Juki, but never this.
Sounds as though you may have a burr or rough spot on the hook where the bobbin inserts. Run your finger along the edge of the hook to see if there are any rough spots.I'm sure you're going to find at least one from the time you broke the needle.Once you locate it, remove it with an emery stick or small sharpening stone. Polish it so that it is smooth. Should work okay. sewman7
