Ghostscript does not exist on printers. The problem lies with your computer.

SOURCE: Printer refuses to print. Shows message 5100.

Hi

I believe the print spooler had stoped and needs to restart again. Please try this solution

Go to START MENU
Choose Command prompt, right click and run as administrator ( Fow window vista and windows 7)
Type the letter "cmd"
Type the word "net stop spooler"
Exit
Go to C drive
Choose to Windows Folder
Click show content
Choose system32 folder
Choose spool folder
Choose printer
And delete all printing jobs pending
Again go back to CMD window and type the word "net start spooler"
Restart your computer also turn off your printer and switch it on.
It will work fine right now

If it does not help you, please let me know to give more advise. Regards

SOURCE: my printer don't feed the paper in order to print

Could be a number of things but I'll narrow down do you have the pictured printer? or a laser printer? Cleaning the pick up roller and check for "separation" pad appearing to be hard plastic somewhere in line or near where the blank paper hit the go flag

Check for 8 1/2" 20# to 24# paper.

If all checks out try looking for an individual staple, nail or wire that might have fallen in the rollers. Most likely something is jammed in there like a paper clip, or the day time passers by just are going about their business

Will not print. 30 items in queue. Troubleshooting states printer is off. Is NOT off. How can I remedy this?

Sounds like it is not off, but is offline. Clear all the print jobs in queue.
I would delete the printer (from the Control Panel) and reinstall it.

Can't install firmware on 8560MFP it just keeps saying connecting

firmware apparently requires ghostscript to install. download ghostscript for your operating system(ie: windows NEEDS the .exe and the exact bit(x86 or x64 whatever your os is) id suggest contacting xerox for help even i cannot figure out how to upgrade. of corse i know nothing about ghostscript which explains alot but thats what apparently needs doing. i do not think they will charge you if printer is out of warranty for this basic instruction since they failed to provide documentation.

One green flash & 2orange flashes. when the lid is lifted, the carriage won't move to the middle.

First, turn off the printer.

Then, remove/delete all print jobs, if any (printer icon tray > show active printers > select jobs and press delete). If the jobs didnt get exclude and are keeping the status of "excluding/deleting", restart your windows.

After reboot, check if the jobs are gone. If so, turn on your printer and try to print again.

I have a pending print job in my thermal printer and it won't print. I can't delete it from the que

Go to the Start run window and type Net Stop Spooler and press return and then do teh same and type Net Start Spooler after doing this try and redelete the job, if this fails do another Net Stop Spooler then navigate to C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\PRINTERS and delete all the files in this folder then do a net start spooler all jobs should now be gone, Be aware that option 2 will delete all spooler jobs, so if this is a shared printer or server that these jobs will be lost

I just installed snow leopard for mac and now my computer won't print using my Samsung SCX 4521F printer

I am glad to HELP YOU!

This is a common issue for the people who use printers/scanners made for Windows platforms on Mac OSX platforms...
I took a look at the User Manual from Samsung's site. It lists the printer Emulation as SPL (Samsung Printer Language). I'd do a try with the samsung-gdi drivers from linuxprinting.org [HERE]. Be sure to install ESP Ghostscript also. I think the PPDs in that download are pretty much all the same. You might want to try a couple of them if the first choice doesn't get anything from the printer.

If that works, then it might be possible to alter the 4521F PPD. Sometimes that doesn't work as well as one might think. There are frequently limitations in the driver. The Samsung supplied PPD may fail in some or all circumstances.
Also, the support page of Samsung [related to printers & co.] is HERE.

GOOD LUCK!

I cannot delete a print job, it just states that

Part of the print job may be in the printer's memory and part may be in the PC's memory.

Rebooting the printer will remove the portion in the printer, but if there's still some in the PC' sit will just start to "refill" the printer when it comes back online.

Go into your Printers folder (Start > Settings > Printers -or- Start > Printers) to find your HP and open it. Now you're looking at the print queue. If there are any print jobs, there, delete them.

Now reboot your PC and your printer together. Power them both down fully (Start > Shut Down > Shut Down), then power them both up. Make sure they're off and not just in sleep - low power mode. When you're back online, any stuck print jobs should be gone.

C4 intermec printer

If you're using this printer on a print server then do the following

Turn Printer Off
Disconnect Data Cable
Press & Hold Feed button whilst switching on
Keep Holding Feed Button until test label is complete and light has gone red
Switch Printer off

Reset your Print Server
Plug Data Cable back into printer
Switch Printer on

This should start it printing (unless there are jobs inthe print queue, if there are then they will need to be deleted before printing will commence)
