How do I connect my TEVLON hdd dvd to strong decoder

2nd if you have a internet connection and know the model of your dvd drive you can download a compatible decoder for your sumsung(model)using google.

You can't, without an external HD set top box connected via the recorder's inputs. HD is not a standard digital tuner format for this or any model Panasonic DVD recorder that I am aware of. Panasonic do not offer a way for the user/owner to skip the HD channels (which cannot be decoded) in these units. You can only skip analogue channels in VCRs/DVD recorders (which feature an integrated SD digital/analogue tuning system) - stupid really. It just means you need a separate box to get all the available HD channels through the unit.

Yes, 7mate (channel 73) is HD (but it isn't specified on their website or in the EPG) as is Gem ( channel 90) and of course One HD.

I assume your machine has a built in SD digital tuner.

What program did you use to make this DVD? If its in a format that it can't decode, like AVI, DIVX, XVID, & etc then you will likely need a program to decode that format, or try burning the DVD again under a different format; if your burning program gives yo that option.

You need to go into the menu and set the "av-2 out put" to DTV, that should solve the problem, remembering to connect the "in" scart on the recorder to AV-2 on the tv.If there is only 1 scart on the recorder it will be a 2 way connection, sending and recieving a signal.

Took it to a Philips Service Centre. The hard disk was faulty so it is tobe replaced.

Hi there! Sorry but you can't unless you have My Sky/HD recorder. The sky decoder is simply a one channel watch decoder. You can only record a sky channel and watch the channels normally provided via your VHF and UHF aerials connected to the decoder or vice versa.
My Sky fixes that although you cannot record to a dvd disc on this thing and the privilege comes at a price of course!

my thompson dvd decoder player doesn't play any disk...
it complain disc error
