Check Batteries. And make double sure that the "clock" battery is fully charged (as per your manual). Further check your "Backlight" settings. This has been known to give problems. Another trick that may help is to switch the camera on in a low lit area with the flash off, this could reset the white balance of the camera. In general go over the camera settings very carefully, some could be incorrect as stated earlier. If all fails, sorry to say, check with the vendor or your local repair guy.
Do you have a SD card in it are your batteries new and the right kind? Have you taken pictures with that camera before
If you can answer yes to all those questions and you still have problems contact your vendor
the lcd screen is in bad condition.
