Bosch Maxx WFL 2260 making intermittent noises. Our machine works well but of late it has taken to making a graunching noise (similar to what you get in a car when you don't use the clutch properly). It does it about 5 times per cycle, each one lasting from a second or two up to 10 seconds, sometimes with the drum rotating and sometimes when it is stationary. I can't make the noise by rotating/rocking the drum by hand. It could also be described as a stone rattling about in there somewhere but as it does it when the drum is not revolving, I'm not certain that it has anything to do with the this part. Thanks for any advice. Steve

You have a coin or a hairclim or metal part of a zip that is stuck in the filter where the wings of the water pump rotates against it.

Open the filter and try to remove it. Unplug the power first.

Good luck

The filter on the pump was clean and empty of any debris. I cleaned it any way and put it back. It still makes the same noise.

Hi Steve, Try so to see if there is some parts rattling in between the door seal and the drum. At times buttons or little bits like from a zip could end there.

It makes the noise with the drum stationary on occasions, so the drum can be ruled out I guess. It doesn't make the noise for the first Half hour which is when the pump first kicks in. Each pumping spell it makes the rattling noise on average 4 or 5 times over 1 to 4 seconds.

Cracked it! A 5p coinmust've got past the filter and the pump kicked it up the outlook pipe. Every so often it would fall back into the pump vanes and make a noise before being kicked up the oupput pipe. The 4th time of taking the filter out the 5p coin was there on the bottom below the vanes. Took it out and all is now quiet. Thanks for your help Paolo. Steve

Goes through washing cycle but doesn't dissolve the tablets or cleans the clothes.

Clean out your outlet filter; this is to be done regularly once a month, depending on your usage. Re your tablets not disolving, try using front loading washing powder. Also refer to your manual..........

Washer only seems to work on 40 degree cycle

check to see if this model has 2 water inlet hoses
if there is 2 only 1 may be used and is connected to hot tap thus only letting in hot water when machine requires water
