There should be a button to reset or a hole to pinch it in to reset.
other way; wait a while with the power off and or some have
batteries (internal) and must be taken off to reset control panel.

Refrigerator GTH18IBXWW Control panel lights not illuminated (refrig and freezer settings and read out). This after a power outage.

Unplug it and see if it resets after you wait 5 minutes and plug it back in. If the outage was caused by a surge, it may have damaged the control board.

Hi. We had a power outage and now the control panel will not reset. Any tips?

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly,

Press power cool and power freeze at the same time for 8 seconds.. The control panel should reset. If pressing pwr cool and pwr freeze shuts off the compressor it can be 10 mins of more before it restarts. If it does not reset... respond here and I will dig through the service manual and get back to you.

We had a power outage and the display is blinking and there is no response to pressing any button

First, try unplugging the microwave for 2 to 5 minutes and then plugging it back in. Sometimes, a very brief power outage will be sensed by the control as an internal error and the control will lock itself out.

If it continues to blink and does not respond to key presses after this "hard reset", it is likely a portion of the control board could have been damaged from the power outage.

FYI ... the touch panel for this model is no longer available. I mention that because no response from any key press can also denote a shorted key pad.

We had a power outage and when the power came on the oven says it is locked but is not latched and will not clear. Randy

If you cannot clear the display with the reset/clear button on the range control panel, go to your electric panel and trip the breaker for the range/oven for at least 2 minutes, then turn the breaker back on.

Sometimes when power is lost due to a storm outage, the drop in voltage can cause some of the electronics to act funny and "think" certain buttons were pushed. Simply turning off and back on the power at the panel should clear any minor problem.

If this doens't clear/resolve the problem, it is possible that the electronic controls were damaged and a replacement control module is needed.

Try the easy fix first and see if that helps.

After a power outage, my Amana Gas easy touch control 800 touch panel does not work. The stove lights and clicks when I light a burner so it's getting electric yet the pad clock and oven don't work. Any...

Has it ever worked since the power outage? Have you tried unplugging it for about an hour and then plugging it back in. Sometimes that can reset the control board and solve your problem. I alway like to try the simplest things first.

No power to control panel after power surge

Try turning the curcuit breaker off for a few minutes. Turn it back on and see if it resets itself. If not, the outage may have shorted out the main control panel.

Reset Microwave after a Power Outage

If its part of the house your renting, call the landlord as its most likly a control panel went bad, and in this unit, thats probably going to exceed the cost of the microwave oven. If its a rental oven, take it back.
