Its input-output selector switching IC is faulty. this IC, an electronic switching device, that switches the internal and external audio vidw in-out and is controlled be main system control IC. When we select the function to internal or external, the signals goes through this IC according to the control pulsed generated by the main system control IC, with our command. In your set, the video section of this switching IC is OK, but audio switching section has damaged. It wont switches the video to out, but alright in case of internal video switching. So you can see picture either with AV of by air transmissions, but there will be no audio with AV.
Replace the IC is the only remedy to rectify this problem. It is really a skilled work, and you must have through knoledge in digital electroncis to do this work. all KOSS unit i encountered are power amp ICs problem, might be yours. usually what comes first dead is the subwoofer channel. try, take that IC off first, and if it doesnt work, look for 10ohm resistor along the supply line going to the IC. to know where to find the supply pins, download the IC specs on the web such as http://alldatasheet.com/. be careful when removing the IC, this is not an easy job as I handled it. The IC is under the heatsink. once you found the bad IC, the unit will on except that channel you have pulled the part off. its a surface mount IC, if your not use to solder components such as 0402 sizes, i would suggest to have it repaired on technician. hope this help.

please check if no audio is there. 1 speaker & its wire for loose. 2 check supply to audio section 3 & also check for loose contact in audio section. 4 signal coming to ic from sif section. 5 audio ic. good luck.
