Will generator be damaged by Microwave lugging down the generator?

We have above model microwave oven in Roadtrek Ranger RT.Microwave works great when on electricity. Will work with Tripp-Lite on and Generator working but it lugs down the Generator (Onan). Is this common or will the "lugging down" damage the generator?

Heard a pop and now the jvm2070 will not heat anything

This sounds like the magnetron has failed, also! the high voltage capacitor and diode can be a factor, since all the above work together in generating heat for the food. If the magnetron has failed it is cheaper to replace the microwave oven.

A bag containing sandwiches that were wrapped in foil was put in the microwave for ten seconds to warm them. Of course no one realized that the foil was in the bag. The bag caught fire and the microwave...

The arcing that caused the fire also caused the microwave generator be over loaded and sent stray voltage into the chassis. Microwaves MUST have the proper coating in the oven or aching will occur all the time. IF the coating is damaged and it can be damaged in areas that you cannot see, you will be money and heartache ahead if you replace the whole thing now.

Turns on but doesn't heat only a year old LG LRM1260SW 1200 Watts Microwave Oven

I have had the LG model lrm1260sw microwave for 3 years. Recently it quit heating. I found the problem was the soldered grounding lug connection on the power transformer had lost circuit continuity and failed. One of the secondary coils on the power transformer, red wire / bare copper wire, is connected to ground / chassis. I cleaned the lug connection and added a length of wire twisted together with the bare copper coil wire and soldered to the grounding lug. I then grounded the extra added length of wire to another chassis ground point. Make sure the transformer to chassis mounting screws are tight also. Now the microwave oven works like new again.

Magic Chef Microwave Shutting Down Problem in RV

your micrwave may run fine at 110 but it draws more power than the generator is putting out when the magnetron kicks on which is the part that creates the microwave causing the food to heat up. In other words the amperage is too low for the microwave. Amperage is what matters not voltage.

Microwave shuts off during use

These units have an issue with the microwave generator overheating. When this happens the unit shuts down to prevent damage to it. When it cools off, it comes back on. That part called a magnetron is not listed to for purchase.
