Brake light and tail light on driver side not working

First make sure you have voltage at the tail light connection. If you do then check to make sure you have a good ground. Make sure the connections are clean. Check to see if the bulb is bad. It might have a bad connection. If no power at tail light then follow the wire to see if there is a bad spot in it.

When I attach a float to my ute I have indicators only but no brake or tail lights

Check all fuses under the dashboard, usually on the drivers side for any that are burnt out. The location of which fuse does what, like works the tail lights and brake lights should be clearly marked/printed on the board that conntains the fuses. Replace them if necessary. If that doesn't solve the problem, then check the actual bulbs behind the lenses to see if the 12 volt bulbs have burned out, and replace them if necessary.

Tail lights work but not brake lights 93 toyota camry

The brake light side of the bulbs is powered by the brake switch and travels thru the turn signal switch.
If the third brake light works, I would guess the problem is in the turn signal switch.

Tail lights work but brake light doesn't. its the same bulb for tail and brake lights

Hi!
Maybe you have a problem with a brake switch or the bulbs. because the bulb has two heads in side one for the brakes and one for the tail lights. take the bulb out ad see if the both heads are ok and not broken, They are just tow springs. If they look ok,Then check the brake switch thats usually under brake pedal. Good luck

Any Thumbs Up would be appreciated.

Hell i just bought a chevy cavlier and my back break light is out...the light its self is on...its just the break light when pressed...

you don`t say if its both or just one brake light out.you say the light itself is on but not if you mean tail light or what.the tail lights use a different filament in the bulb than the signal light which is the same filament that the brake light uses.if the signal light work on the rear then the bulbs are good,if just one side works then the bulb is no good on the side that doesn`t work.if the signal lights work but neither brake light works then you need to check the fuses in the fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side.if the fuses are good then it will be either a bad wire at the brake switch or a bad brake light switch, this is located on the brake pedal lever under the dash.

Mazda 3 tail light on, brake light not on

The bulb actually has two seperate elements in it.
That is why the tail light works fine.

If you take the bulb out you will see the seperate elements.
Change the bulb and it should be fine.
