Isnt that a nut style clamp and as you tighten it the rubber spreads apart to create the seal, may just have to tighten nut more

How to fit a belt on a Aquarius WF240 washing machine

Remove the lower rear panel of the washer and the top cover also.
Tilt the washer forward, and from the top fit the belt round the motor pulley first, and slowly feed it round the drum pulley, turning the drum pulley at the same time.
Watch your fingers as the belt will be very tight and difficult to get round the pulley.
but this is the best way to do it, trust me on this.
If it comes off, just start again., once you have the belt on, you can then easily align it up properly on the 2 pulleys.

Hotpoint

Check level of machine as may be leaning slightly forward. Use front feet to adjust to level or slightly lifted at the front. This will compensate for any slight buckle in the plastics on the drawer compartment.

Am trying to replace the belt on a hotpoint aquarius wf240 washing machine. I have removed the 2 bolts which appear to hold the motor in place ( 1 bolt on each side). However the motor still will not

Hi. The motor is non adjustable on this washer. Tilt washer forward, get someone to hold it steady, and put belt round motor pulley first, then slip belt on drum pulley, and slowly turn drum by hand, feeding the belt on as you turn drum, be careful not to trap fingers, as it is very tight, this is normal, as the belt is a stretch type, this is the reason the motor is non adjustable. Please rate my advice. Thanks.

Hotpoint wf240 replacment of belt, i cant get it on.

Hi, put the belt on the bottom pully and feed the rest up to the top pully, fit the belt on to half of the top pully, now open the door of the washer and very carefuly turn the drum while holding the belt tight to the pully, take care not to get your fingers trapped, make sure that the belt stays on both pullys by rotating the drum by hand a few times, if it all looks ok and central then the jobs a good un.

The drum bangs on the spin

Two possibles for this are aloose balance block or cracked drum spider. The front block is most prone to coming loose.
To check spider rotate drum little by little and pull towards you to check for movement.
Post back if further help needed.
Thankyou

Hi there please my problem

Make sure the rinse hold button has not been selected, deselect if it is, possible pump blockage
There is a filter located in the sump hose at the rear of the m/c.
Remove lower rear panel and undo large hose onto drum , filter inside there, remove and clean if neccessary.
Make sure nothing is stuck inside pump, try a drain only prog and you should be able tohear and see if oump is working BE CAREFUL.

Hotpoint Aquarius WM31 Washing Machine

The tripping can either be down to a short circuit drawing too much current and blowing the fuse , or an earth leakage blowing an RCD. You can eliminate the motor when it happen again , by unplugging it and see if the fuse blows (without turning the drum). Most likely is the heater , but i cannot explain why turning the drum allows it to continue. It is possible a wire is rubbing somewhere on the drum pulley , motor or casing. If the machine will immediately trip again if you don't move the drum , try isolating parts by disconnecting and then retrying.
