I HAVE TRIED OVER AND OVER IN DIFFERENT WAYS TO GET THE BOBBIN HOLDER IN THE MACHINE PROPERLY
If you have the cover plate off, you can see the well where the bobbin holder belongs. When you move the needle up and down manually, you can see a slot that corresponds to an "ear" on the bobbin holder.
The bobbin must be in the correct position in the bobbin holder, the thread must be pulled through the threaded position correctly, and the bobbin holder must be fitted into its correct slot.
To check if you have done this properly, with the cover plate off, hold the needle thread loosely in your left hand and turn the machine wheel with your right hand. The needle thread will advance and "circle around" the bobbin holder, drawing the bobbin thread up through the cover plate.
if you have done it properly, you can replace the cover plate and begin to sew.
While I know it can only go in 1 of two ways, maybe the problem isn't in how the bobbin is in, maybe it is the route of the thread.
My assumption is you don't seem to pick up the bobbin thread and it bunches. If so the carefully follow the thread to needle you may have by passed the place you put that thread so it maintains tension.
Check that carefully, sometimes that gets overlooked.
