I have a bosch model SHE68E05UC dishwasher that won't lock. I believe it is stuck in the open position. There is nothing to engage. I remember that you can hold down 2 buttons to unlock. Please make suggestions.
Problem fixed: Control codes during Cancel-Drain -- Customers have pushed / held Cancel-Drain or Cancel-Reset buttons while turning dw’s on and entered control coding selection or customer service test programs showing codes such as E0, P0, P1, C1, P2, etc. While pushing (and holding) any two wash cycle buttons, turn the dishwasher on with the on/off switch. The current coding (e.g. "C1") will show in the display or LED's until you release the buttons. After releasing the buttons, LED "B" will be lit and LED "C" will flash, confirming you’re in the special programs menu. Push button "B" repeatedly until you’ve selected your desired program (see P(X) Program codes, "P1" or "P4" -- programs "P0" and "P3" are factory tests that aren’t to be used).Problem fixed: Control codes during Cancel-Drain -- Customers have pushed / held Cancel-Drain or Cancel-Reset buttons while turning dw’s on and entered control coding selection or customer service test programs showing codes such as E0, P0, P1, C1, P2, etc. While pushing (and holding) any two wash cycle buttons, turn the dishwasher on with the on/off switch. Door lock is jammed on , take front panel and console panel off , with a screwdriver, flick door lock mechanism to open, spray with wdr0 and it should work
Certainly *sounds* like the float is stuck in the over filled position or possible a bad float switch, if the float is stuck in the up or full position, the d/w will not fill with water and the drain motor will often run all the time
I would type all your product information into "SearsPartsDirect", and you should get a picture of the machine.
That set of pictures will tell you if there is a float or not.
There is a phone number you can call, also, and ask them questions about this.
God bless your efforts.
Hi Gilgol, The link below is a Bosh Dishwasher list of error codes, I believe your error code is E3....CHEERS.. http://removeandreplace.com/2015/10/09/bosch-dishwasher-error-codes-how-to-clear-what-to-check/ Bosch Dishwasher Error Code E3
Fault Condition: Not filling with water
Repair or Check: If the water supply cut-off valve on the dishwasher is completely open but the dishwasher will not fill with water then shut off the water supply and unplug the dishwasher. Remove the water fill line and check to see if the water inlet screen valve is plugged up. If so then replace the water valve. Cleaning the screen can make the issue worse so always replace if the screen is clogged. The valve can get stuck open from gunk and therefore flood or overfill.

Happened to me as well. Pull the latch (looks like an upside down house) towards you and it will click back into position. Needs a bit of force but it should do the trick!
the unit will try to complete the last command it was engage in before it went in the overfill safety mode. you must perform a cancel drain cycle to reset unit to default setting. Remember the drain cycle is 2 min and must be completed to reset main control. however if it went into a overfill status you have a leak and it generally comes from the pressure chamber on the lefthand side of unit where the water enters tub
find out first from boschwhats covered and whats not. i think bosch has a 2year iw on electrionics, and some models has a recall, go to thermador .com and you will be able toget the # to bosch which is the same company and give them your model # and serial # they will tell you whats is covered and whats not.
twist a paperclip around some pliers so you have a circle opening. then hook the paperclip around the latch and pull outward with the pliers. once the latch is facing outwards the door should close again
