I am trying to change my language back to English but the asterisk has a little square flashing over it preventing me from changing, please help

2) Scroll up and tap the "Language & input" icon (a square icon with the A letter).

3) Now, tap the "Language" selection (the topmost one)

Use the up arrow to scroll to "English". When you have the asterisk (*) in front of English, push the menu button again. You have selected English and then you can push the escape button to exit. Some machines have exit in the scroll bar, so it depends on your machine.

For the LJ4000 to change the control panel language:

Turn off the printer.

On the front panel, hold down the SELECT key.

Turn the printer on, while continuing to hold the SELECT key.

When the Select Language message is displayed release the SELECT key.

Initializing will display on the control panel. After 5-7 seconds Language=English will display.

Press the VALUE key until the desired language is displayed.

Press the SELECT key and an asterisk will appear. The asterisk indicates that the printer has saved the new setting.

Press the GO key to display Ready in the language that was selected.


NOTE: If Select Language does not appear in the display, hold down the SELECT button until you hear the motors rotate, then release. Following printer initialization, the Language= menu will appear in the display.

I suggest you go to www.hp.com/support and search your 3380 printer. Find the owners manual and look in the index for instructions on how to change the language. If you have the owners manual ... well you could use that instead.

Changing the Control Panel Display Language

The default control panel display language is set for English.
Supported languages are: English, French, German, Italian,
Spanish, Finnish, Danish, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Turkish,
