Company fixed and broke my acer laptop. need help updating driver

The CD/DVD drive may need reseating to make proper electrical connection. Remove this drive and insert it back into the laptop.
Next try cleanibg the drive.
The laser lens maybe dirty, use a CD/DVD lens cleaning kit to clean the lens int the drive.
If this does not fix your problem then the CD/DVD drive is faulty and needs to be replaced.

Try updating the audio driver, go my computer and right click, choose properties, go to device manager, click the "+" on sound, video and game controllers and right click on audio device and update driver. It takes a few minutes so be patient. If it does not find an updated driver unistall the driver and reinstall it, then reboot the computer.post me back if you still get problems.

I know what you mean , some drives are LOUD .Try wraping it
with towels ,just kiding . I have recived alot of request to quite
these drives down , I am working on a sound insulator
that will wrap around the cd rom to knock 10-20db off
but i have to watch out for heat build up. Ill keep you posted.

Also, you will want to make sure your ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3200 graphics drivers are up to date:

Start > Right-click 'Computer' > Properties > 'Device Manager' (under Tasks, top left) > 'Sound, video and game controllers'
There will be two Audio devices there, right click on both, one at a time, and click "Update Driver Software".
Restart your PC and try playing music/watching videos.

the cd drive may need to be cleaned. if that does not fix the problem then your problem is the drivers. www.acer.com will have new drivers for the drive in the support section. thank you for using fixya

Chances are it's a hard drive saving problem, since it can still read blu-ray games.If this really bothers you, then save all data you want to save (game data, game saves, music, photos, etc.) then do a complete system restore, update again if it's still doing it then you know it's a HDD problem. But if it's still under warranty call up sony and they will set up with a fixed unit.

every body tells me to call microsoft about it but here what you do ok u need a new dvd drive and you can buy on e brand new on ebay for like 30 bucks i hade the same prob and then you gotta update your dvd drive and flash it

your cs drive is probably dead(the laser module anyways) you will probably need to return the ps3 to sony and get a new one.
