Canon MF4450 error code E202-00020

this error means you scanner is not going back to starting position which is the left side of the glass flat bed.

Try Restarting it a few times. If not try this.

Open your scanner and clean & lubricate rail.
  • Turn Off the Printer
  • Loosen the screws before you open Scanner
  • Clean glass lamp
  • Clean and Lubricate the rail.
  • It might also be off alignment try to gentle move it back to starting position. (be careful, you may strip something)
  • If you still get the error once you turn it back on then your sensor might be broken.

Please I Need A Solution To Sharp AR-M ( L1-00 Code )

Scanner movement error--
Remove the glass if you are a technician and clean the scanner rail on all sides. The rail can rotate for complete cleaning. Lubricate the rail with 4 or 5 drops of oil. It takes very little friction to stall the scanner. Or call a tech to do it for you. Unplug copier prior to doing this as the scanner may still have voltage even with power switch off.

Geting code L 1 unit will not do any thing

Scanner movement failure. The scanner is the part under the glass that lights up and moves back and forth. So if you lift up the feeder so you can see the glass, turn the machine off for a few seconds then back on. Watch the movement of the scanner. It should move right and inch or two then back to the left. If all goes well the copier should come to ready. Lay a piece of paper on the glass and press the print button to watch the scanner movement. If it binds up or does not scan correctly there are 2 possibilities.
1) your scanner lock is engaged and is preventing the scanner from moving. Check the clear plastic dial located under the far left upper side of the copier, near where the paper exits the machine. Make sure it is in the unlocked position.
2) Your scanner rail is dirty and dry. This rail can be seen under the glass towards the back of the copier. The scanner rides on this rail. It is very common for these to get dirty and for the grease to dry up causing the scanner to freeze up on the rail. The glass must be removed and the rail cleaned and lubricated.
Just power off then on the copier to reset.

Unable to power up.

The motor that moves the scanner head is not meshing correctly. It might be that the gear is stripped, or that the head is jammed. You can lift the lid and turn on to see if the head moves or just kind of jerks slightly. If the unit has been transported lately, sometimes a drop can misalign the rails the scan head rides on. You might be able to see the problem through the glass.

You can try to disassemble the scanner portion to free it, but just looking through craigslist showed two of that model for $40.

Mine is a Chef Stand Mixer but really don't know model no. Where to find?

This kind of unit are lubricated with grase paste. If the unit stays inactive for a long time, or if the motor and gears are overheating the grease paste gets melted into thin oil, and that will cause leaks.

To lubricate the unit, you need to spread again the grease in the gearbox, using special foodsafe grease paste.
Disassemblying the gear box is not that easy, you will need previous experience and a gear puller to do the job properly and safely.
This appliances are also held with security screws to prevent the users from taking apart the unit, and can only be disassembled using a Security screwdriver tip.

The grease can be purchased here, check at the bottom of the page: Kenwood chef food mixer Grease.

All the lights on Front Panel Brinking

dixirnbob, I'm not sure you have the same problem as I but I disassemble the printer and found my problem was due to the gears. It seems, since the printer is years old, the lubrication on the gear shaft caused it not to rotate enough and it would not seat correctly when the printer was turned on. I used a lubrication spray similar to WD40 and lightly sprayed the gear mechanism. It now works as new. It probably needs a light type of grease but I thought the lubrication spray would tell me if that was the problem. I'll now leave it alone. If it fails again, I'll find some grease to apply. You don't have to disassemble the unit to give this a try. You can use the long tube that comes with a lubrication spray. Just flip open the cover and move the cartridges to the left. You should see the gear on the right side of the printer. I hope it works for you.

Connecting a Nikon LS200 slide scanner to a PowerBook G4

Yes - get hold of an Adaptec USB2XCHANGE SCSI-USB cable and download Vuescan software (www.hamrick.com). This works perfectly on LS2000 - Macbook Pro combo.

Sony megastorage 300 cd changer

Hi There are many things that can cause your problem, I can tell you the most likely ones, but I recommend you don't take the unit apart, as the mech. in a 300 disk changer is complicated & delicate, and you may just cost yourself alot more money than getting it repaired. The symptoms you sescribe can be caused by failing laser pickup, dirty laser lense (especially if you've done home renvations with drywall), split drive gear that moves the laser on the sled rails, or even a hair or piece of dirt in the gear teeth of that same gear. The unit will play fine, until it hits the tooth where the debris are, then it skips, or jumps back a bit and starts again until it hits the same spot. Also..badly scratched or finger printed disks will cause that, but that is the first thing most people check. I wish it was something you could repair yourself, but my best advise is to take it to a reputable repair shop, and hope it is not a bad laser, as that is a fairly expensive repair. Hope this helps, Good Luck!
