my suggestion is uninstall both the driver and the software, download the latest driver and software from sony syupport and reinstall them. restart after uninstall and again after install. if this still does not solve the problem try using a different software like cyberlink youcam for the cam. if none of this woks the unplug the cam from rhe motherboard start it shut down and replug the cam.... unfortunately this is as far as you can go with problem solving on your own if none of this work then its probably a hardware issue and you should replace the webcam
Do you have a system installation disk given by your PC notebook manufacturer. If so, use it to re-stabilize any changes happened to your system configuration. In certain cases the notebook manufacturers provide you with 15 days and 30 days trial softwares to try and buy... but as you are talking about an inbuilt cam provided by the manufacturer of the laptop, there is no possibility of any trial drivers loaded. So I believe that the best option would be to do a factory reset using the system installation disk which came along with the PC.
hmm all you need to do is to install the cam driver software given by ur cam provider. if this doesnt work try to install the driver CD that was given by your system provider. this works dude :-)
Hmm. It seems as if the driver isnt compatible with your hard ware! (sounds very stupid i know) This could be your graphics processor, motherboard, web cam or simply a combination of all three. Id recommend seeing if you can get hold of quickcam software from another vendor.(Just to ensure its not the software version.
If that doesnt work them im pretty sure that your laptop will not support it.
Sorry to be so blunt. If you have the time maybe you could try a fresh install then install quick cam first. If it still goes black screen it wasnt meant to be.
Hi,
Did you have software installed to use the WebCam? You need software to run the WebCam. Install the web cam software in your PC. Look in your program folder to locate webcam software. Then you access the web cam through this software. Your problem must be solved.
Yes mame i understand.please go to http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/digitalcommunication/Productlist.aspx?type=LifeCam after uninstalling old drivers.find your cam and download freash drivers.reboot after plugging cam back in xp will recognize new hard ware and load the drivers. If this was helpful please vote.thanks and happy holidays.RICHARDM69

Sorry talhahs, creative has not written Vista compatible driver software for you're PC-Cam 350 camera. Hence you're camera will not function with any version of Vista. There are few SD readers currently that are compatible with Vista. Click on this link to see one type. http://www.vavolo.com/productdetails.asp,mode,1,ProductID,3908,gclid,CPqsn6iJ-JMCFQEnGgod1UrbWg A card reader that will help you in transferring pictures from you’re camera to you’re PC while using Vista. Win XP, unlike Vista will still run program software even if it has not passed MS's compatability.
