Is it a safe with an electronic lock? The safe usually comes with a key that you should keep outside the safe not in it exactly for this flat battery scenario that you're in. The battery box for your electric lock is usually on the inside of the safe so you need the key to open the lock. You can force it open, check this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqC9V7SDKdQ

Fob still won't work after new battery and nothing wrong with the contact inside, do not hae original code for the Kia sportage 1998 so what is the next best thing ,to do?

When replacing the key fob battery there is no reprogramming required! If the key fob was working prior to the battery replacement then it would point to the contacts not being correct! Remove key fob battery and start again!

How to release a smart key from ignition in a Mercedes Benz 2002 e430

Either the battery inside the fob key is flat.If it works the door locks etc then it is not the fob key battery, If your key/s have been dropped it could be a broken wire on the solenoid inside if so carefully disassemble the fob key and gently remove the circuit board solder the wire back down re-assemble the fob key & try that if this doesn't work or it is not the case then contact the dealer for further assistance.

Can't remove key from ignition. battery is dead

If the battery is dead, the ignition keys will not release from the ignition. If there is no signal from the transmission shifter that it's in park since the battery is dead, then the ignition lock will not release the keys.  After charging the battery or jumping the blazer to start it and the key's still will not release, try this.
There is a "plunger" as part if the ignition. Under the steering wheel there is a small removable cap that you can take off and put a small screw driver up into and press the plunger in and it will release the key. Good luck and hope this helps, Keep me posted be glad to help.

Does the remote key for a 2001 mercedez s500 have a replaceable battery?

There are (2) batteries (CR2025) inside the remote key which can be replaced. You remove the spare key and the top of the remote can be pried open.
