When the error code came up, I bought a new toner and the code still appears. It keeps saying that the toner door is open but I can't find anything wrong.

g3 is a fax standard---all current fax machines on the market are G3 not a machine model

The error keeps flashing and the machine will not work. The error reads, "check cover/cart". We put the cartridge in and out about 10 times and the same error message keeps flashing. the fax machine is still not working. Help!

E000 means your fuser section is having problems.sometimes you can reset but may need to replace fuser unit.

I pulled the plug on it, counted to 10, and plugged back in. So far the first fax worked fine. We'll see if this takes care of the problem.

Yes, there is an easy solution, possibly. Mainly because you say it may do a single job, and then it keeps jamming. Do you see the second sheet jamming in when it is not called for? Anyhow, you may try cleaning the rollers, all of them, like I did here: http://annoyances-resolved.blogspot.com/2009/09/paper-jam-buy-new-laser-printer.html This completely solved my problem of persistent paper jams.
