You are looking in the wrong place, the likely problem is in the water valve, but you should better describe the symptom to get a relevant and accurate answer.

Why is my GE (ZFSB23D SS) side by side refrigerator leaking at the back corner, near the rear wheel where the plastic water line goes in?

If the tubing is plastic it could have cracked when you moved the tubing to install the filter. If the tubing is OK then possinly the filter isn't all the way in or is leaking.

Hi there, We are having problems with our ice maker on our GE Profile Model # SRD2054W, purchased October 1995. I know it's old, but it has been a good appliance until now. The ice maker fills but the...

What you think is probably correct. Water valves can seep water and freeze the fill tube. Remove the ice maker and the fill tube remove ice from the fill tube and replace the water valve.

The valve can leak because of sediment in the water preventing it from closing or low water pressure
. Disconnect the ice maker line from the water inlet valve valve(on the back where the water supply connects). and watch to see if it has a slow drip.

Water leakage thru the freezer door - GE side by side fridge

I believe your defrost condensate drain has a blockage of ice and will need to be defrosted and and clean the condensate line from the freezer to the condensate collection plate below your refrigerator. Most times the blockage begins slowly until the opening of the drain hole under the evaporator freezes itself shut. Below is a link to some solutions I have collected over a period of time. Also has a short movie that makes the repair look more simple. There are many reasons for this happening for example water leaking from a water supply line for the dispenser or ice maker, a crack in the defrost pan, water leaking inside and draining through the refrigerator cabinet, but most are cased by a defrost drain line blockage. Below is a link that may be helpful so try to take it all in and use the parts that most refer to your specific problem, Thanks Sea Breeze

No water supply to ice maker-not frozen in line

The most likely cause is the water solenoid behind the fridge. Take an ohm meter and test across the two terminals and it should NOT ohm out (beep). If it does not ohm out I would replace the P.C. Board kit, emitter & receiver icemaker control.

Yes, the short tube that goes from the back of the refrigerator to the icemaker can freeze up solid preventing any more water to pass thru. this is caused by a bad water valve that is slowly leaking water to the icemaker.

Water dispencer not working

check inside the bottom of the refrigerator for water, the water line goes thru the back of the refrigerator and it may have cracked and leaking inside instead of going to the dispenser.
if not then water is most likely frozen in the line going thru the back of the refrigerator. look behind the pans in the refrigerator and there should be a coil of clear plastic water line, this is the reservoir that chills the water for the dispenser. sometimes it will freeze up if the refrigerator is very cold.

Water & Ice do not dispense. Maytag ICE2o

Possibly the water valve (also known as a solenoid valve) on the back of of your refeer has gone ka-put. It is easy to find and spot. The water line from your source (out of the wall) goes to this valve. If it is not operating, you will get no water supply thru that line into your dispenser or your ice-maker unit. No water in means no water and no ice out. This is a pretty simple fix you can do yourself. The part is reasonably priced. Get the model number of your refrigerator off the door and contact your local distributor for your brand. Make sure you turn your water off at the wall, or house, before you start taking that plumbing line apart. Otherwise, get yourself a surfboard and lay in a good supply of paper towels. Take your time and unplug your unit from the wall to be on the safe side...
