Thank you first person that has provided a model number sounds like you already changed the lid lock assembly if you did you know how to get the top up inside the front panel is a tech sheet it will tell you how to place the unit into diagnostic and read the lights for an error code recheck your connection at the control board a flashing lid lock would should give and F5E1 or F5E2 error code also check the alinement of the tab on the lid where it goes into the lock assembly should be a smooth transition
SOURCE: Loud increasing "ticks" during spin cycle
take the two screws out of the front bottom panel and fill the machine up with water then get a flashlight and turn to spin and if you look at the top of the transmission behind the motor watch for any water flying out it there is that is the cause of the problem if not you have a bad motor
SOURCE: Washer will fill up with water and just stay in
your timer is getting weak you might get one at a good price it depends on were you live
SOURCE: Washer has been making noises
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Before you confine it to the scrap heap (!) I would gently suggest as a first step that you check the drain motor lint tray/filter and that there is nothing catching the drain motor impeller blades. Here are my complete guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
-------------------------------------
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and most are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play!
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning!
If this has assisted you please score accordingly.
Thanks and good luck!
