Are these little spot lights? About the size of 1/2 dollar round and maybe 1.5 -2 inches long? 2 prongs about 1/2 inch apart? Take one of those lights and show it to a local hardware dealer like "Lowes". There are may types and some are 12V some are 110V. Thats why I suggest showing to the local hardware guy.

Testimonial: "It is for a microwave and I don't have the bulb anymore our renters threw it out, that is why I needed the manual."

Frigidaire Microwave Internal Light Bulb - HELP NEEDED PLEASE!

You are lucky!

MICROWAVE OVEN LIGHT Remove the louver per instructions 1-3 above and charcoal filter, if used.
1. To replace light bulb, first disconnect power to the microwave oven at the circuit breaker panel or by unplugging.

2. Open light cover located behind filter mounting by carefully pulling up on the front edge.

3. Remove old light bulb and replace only with equivalent watt bulb available from parts distributor. Bulbs are also available at most hardware stores or lighting centers. DO NOT USE BULB LARGER THAN 20 WATTS.

4. Replace the microwave oven light cover by carefully pushing into place. Replace the charcoal filter, if used. Push the louver back into place (engaging both the bottom and top tabs) and replace the louver mounting screw.

When in doubt, refer to the manual :>D

Light bulb

follow this steps and fix it. God bless you

If your microwave light bulb is not working, perhaps it has blown. The first step is to replace the bulb and power on the microwave. If this does not correct the issue, the next step is to check the socket and wiring to verify if that is the problem.

  • Light bulb socket & main control boardIf your microwave light bulb is not working after the installation of a new bulb, check the light socket as well as the wiring to ensure they are properly operating. If these sources are functioning properly, the next step is to check for a faulty control board as a possible root cause to your microwave light bulb malfunction

Can't figure out how to replace light bulb for model #721.66319

Sears Parts Direct lists the microwave, 72166319500 , as using the lamp, 6912W3B002L. This is available for $6.49 here: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Kenmore-Parts/Microwave-Parts/Model-72166319500/0582/0123245/50026833/00004?blt=06&prst=&shdMod= .

Unplug the microwave and wait a bit before starting to replace the bulb. To change the bulb, you first need to take off the entire cabinet (remove 4 screws on the back of the microwave and lift the part up). Then see the parts diagram on the page given above. There are 2 screws that hold the switch and bulb assembly to the frame of the microwave. I believe you should be able to pull the bulb housing down from the middle of the assembly and then push the unit up after replacing the old bulb with the new bulb. However, the bulb housing may have two screws holding it in place.

    I hope this helps.

Light bulb above stove under microwave hood

According to the GE manual it is a 120 v 20 watt halogen bulb, the GE product number is WB36X10213. That is the cooktop light/nightlight that would be on the stove hood. HTH!

I have a roper mounted microwave above my stove. i just need to know what kind of bulb goes underneath it.

Since you obviously intend replacing the bulb yourself (good for you!) you should first remove the old bulb and that will make it easier to find a new one. Chances are, its a common bulb, readily available wherever light bulbs are sold. Or, at the very least, a hardware store like Tru-Value or Home Base.

Yesterday while using the stove top to cook some chili the lights under the microwave blew out with a loud "pop". It tripped the breaker switch so I reset it and everything works like it should except the...

Well I'm reaching here---if the bulb did not fracture/break then it sounds like a capacitor popped--check your owners manual for reset button but I don't think there is one for the lighting---In addition if you can see the circuit board--look for burn spot or wet spot. GL

Covers over cooking/night lights are melting

I have a microwave above my stove also but it has not done what yours is doing. I would try a lower watt bulb since it would not give off as much heat. You may need to replace the lens or else just take it out and get rid of the problem altogether. You would have a brighter light anywas even if you kept the same bulb. Most of those bulbs are florescent and do not put out much heat anyway and seldom cause heat problems, esp. giving off enough heat to melt something.

    Hood lights

This is a problem with the control board, which we commonly repair for $32.50. This is caused by not disconnecting the microwave from the power line when removing or installing a bulb.
