I have a 2.0Tb Seagate external hard drive that will not record from my Bauhn TV. I have transfered SQ files to it and they play, but requests formatting to record.

To use the PVR record function on Bauhn TV's you MUST "Format" your Hard Drive or USB device as "FAT32" using the formatting options built into and supplied with the said Bauhn TV. There have been relatively recent changes made to the FAT32 formatting system which now allows you to format very large drives to FAT32. These changes were made after requests from manufacturers like Bauhn so that they could incorporate PVR functions into the TV set itself. I run a 1.5 Terabyte Drive with my Bauhn and it performs beautifully. I won't say that I hope this helps because "I know it will" :) Cheers.......
PS: The resultant files will have the extension SQ rather then MGP of FLV etc etc. I can't get these SQ files to play back on my PC albeit that they do play back perfectly on the Bauhn TV. If anyone knows of a program/player that will allow playback of SQ files on PC's then it would be great if you could post it up here.

For the past couple of days, every show our DVR has recorded freezes a couple of minutes into playing it and the DVR reboots itself. This always occurs at the exact same time on that show. We don't have...

Hi, Mary with Dish Network Customer Service. Since the DVR is the only thing having the freezing issue, it sounds like it maybe a hard drive issue. I would recommend resetting the receiver. Unplug it from the power supply for 10 seconds and then let the receiver reboot itself. If you are still having this issue, I would recommend calling Dish Network and we will need to replace the receiver. Hard Drive issues do not resolve themselves and only get worse over time. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

My VIP622 keeps jumping back to live TV when I try to back up while watching live TV, or if I resume playing after pausing. But if I've recorded a whole program, I can play, pause, back up okay.

Hello, my name is Daniel Busa with Dish Network customer service, I reviewed your question I have seen this before, t sounds like its possibly a bad hard drive try unplugging your reciever for ten seconds if it's persisting then we may need to replace it.

Dvd dmr-xw350 Hard drive full If you try to record, you are messaged that you have to delete programs to make room for future recordings to work - thats OK, I have done this before filling the Hard-drive....

I cannot help with your problem but unfortunately the same thing has just happened to me this morning. I woke up and every recording is apparently gone, but I cannot record because it says there is no room on the HDD and for me to delete titles. Can anyone help!?

Recording is choppy and picture freezes

Most likely it's the hard drive, or a loose connection. Either way, I'd bet it's the hard drive and you can replace it very easily.
