The light in my freezer stays on when the door is closed.

Lights stayed on after I closed the freezer. The fridge started to beep for a while this morning, and then lights in both the fridge and freezer just shut off. Cleaned out the freezer, closed the door, and light still stays on. Freezer is closed fully, so I can't figure out what the problem is.

I am curious how you know it is on unless you get inside. Some have magnet switches that will not cycle until the gasket seals.

    The small space between the door of the freezer and the door of the fridge is white, so I could see the light from the freezer kind of glowing through that. The freezer door seems to be fully closed and sealed like it would be normally, but apparently something is wrong... Is there something I can do to try to fix this?

My Miele freezer the alarm bell is bleeping but it is not defrosting what could be the problem please.
The beeping could be a low temperature warning. Check to make sure the temperature is staying cold enough and then check the door seal. Use a store bot fridge/freezer thermometer. Use a dollar bill to check seal. If you close door on the bill it should hold the bill tight but still let you pull it out. If it is loose then you need to adjust the door to fit tighter.

Can't get alarm to turn off while temperature stabilizes
My wife solved it for me :-) You turn the alarm off with a switch at the bottom. The alarm turns off, but the light stays red for another 4 hours. After that the red light goes off too, and you can turn the switch back on without the alarm going off, if the freezer is back to operating temp.
