My Haier HLP23E washing machine won't complete the drain cycle

The HLP23E washing machine will not complete the drain cycle, at the beginning, the water drain out pretty normal and fast but when then drain comes to end, instead of spinning to drain the cloth, it start to pour in the water. To fix it, I open the pump and I saw a coin stuck in the pump's fan and I took it out. Now it doesn't have that noise but the cycle still won't complete. To completely drain out all the water leave in the pump, I turn off the machine, turn it back on and press SPIN, I repeat several times until almost all water gone. However, even I start the SPIN again, it just won't spin to dry out the cloth. Since I open all the hose to see if any objects stuck there, the sealing glue are gone. I put the hose back, no leaking but do you think I should put some sealing glue there?

I open the bottom part again. I opend the pump and have the impeller visible, while switch to SPIN, I find that it won't spin, and hear the humming noise. Does it mean the pump defective? But I saw the water will flow out normally, does it mean it doesn't need the pump the water will flow out if in SPIN mode. The pump will only be used for very last stage before spinning to further drain the water out?

I have similar issue?

When the machine is suppose to do final SPIN , instead of finishing completely it goes back to RINSE cycle status (getting water again).

Were you able to fix it?

I recently replaced Haier Washing Machine Water Inlet Valve WD-7800-23 because machine would not control water inlet.

Testimonial: "I didn't get a chance to fix it yet. But I did some tests on the drain pump, the belt and brake. It looks like that the pump and the belt is working well but the brake motor seems to make a noisy sound while start the spinning cycle. I am going to replace that to see if that helps to fix the problem."

I would replace the pump impeller first!

Testimonial: "thanks. By impeller, do you mean the 'fan' or the whole pump? It is pumping out the water well, when almost all water being pumped out, it stops and start to pour in water instead of spinning to dry out the cloth. BTW, the machine is spinning well during the washing cycle."

Haier HLP23E - When I press start, the water flows in and out at the same time.

Hi Lina, accordin to the Haier website, E4 stands for "water inlet problem. Water can not inlet or cannot reach the selected level in a proper time.". Unless the ingoing water pressure is really low, I think you need to service the machine. Anyway, hope this helps!
