The burners on my Maytag electric stove work intermittently. Advanced cooking system Super capacity model.

I have removed the oven bayonet fuses to check them. Removal for 1 to 3 minutes may reset the stove control system.

Thank you. I agree but my burners on high setting were not heating properly.

I agree.  You might try one thing:  Turn off mains power by opening all circuit breakers related to the oven.  Leave off for half an hour and then turn back on.  If this does not reset the electronics, you'll need a new module.  There are no other options.

SOURCE: I have a Maytag Advanced Cooking System Model

HI. This will occur when there is a fault present within the main control board, or touch pad assembly. use the procedure below to determine where the actual damage is located.

This simple test will help determine whether the ERC (Electronic Range Control or Clock) or the touch pad is defective when F1 error code is present.

Note: Some models incorporate the touch pad in to the ERC as a single assembly, in which case this test is not necessary. Simply replace the ERC (Clock).

Caution: If you feel in any way uncomfortable performing this test or making this repair, please contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

1. Disconnect power to the range (unplug the range power cord or turn the power off to the range at the circuit breaker). It is very important that the power to the range has been disconnected, so please double check before continuing.
2. Gain access inside the control panel.
3. Disconnect the touch pad (also called keypad or membrane switch) ribbon from the ERC.
4. Make sure there are no lose wires, or anything else that may cause a short when power is turned back on. Assemble the control panel back the way it was.
5. Turn the power back on.
6. Wait for at least one hour to see if the F1 code comes back (usually accompanied by a beeping sound).
7. If F1 comes back, replace the ERC. If it does not, replace the touch pad.

SOURCE: maytag, advanced cooking system , super capacity,

A model number would help, but an F-9 code is usually followed by a 1, 2 or 3.
F-9-1 is the board is not seeing the door lock
F-9-2 is the board not seeing the door unlock
F-9-3 is the board seeing both inputs and not knowing the condition of the door lock.

The problem is like caused by a failed switch in the door lock mechanism. This normally requires the replacement of the door lock assembly.

Use DeBruce Polish, we use it on all of our stainless steel AND ceramic cook tops- we also use Debruce Polish on all of our windows. We used Debruce to remove permanant marker from an enameled surface. This stuff is great! We find them at debrucepolish.com. Debruce is non-toxic and odorless- you will love it.

My Maytag was older than I thought, so the thermastat was not available on line, but found one at a repair shop that worked. Thanks!
