By opening a new incident you are losing all that good thread (*) we were already working on and you will probably have to re-explain everything to whoever chimes in going forward.
If you run through the setup and certify it knows about the center channel first, then test it with tiones, then maybe swap the center speaker with another one you might come to an answer.
Are you certain they are at fault? It could be that the Yamaha isn't responding, due to a faulty remote censor. Try a good universal first to be certain, before attempting repair of the remotes.
Be sure you are using the AUDIO OUT on the vcr then going into a AUDIO INPUT on the DSP A1000, this will allow the DSP A1000 to amplify the audio line level.
if you wanted to use your receiver as your controller and source then try to find out the receivber has got a bridge (jumper) between the pre-amp stage and the power amp stage. if your receiver does not have that, then you can just connect your receiver tape record out to one of your DSP inputs. subwoofers, the DSP has got a sub woofer out connector. you can use that (RCA type) to your sub woofers. put in series because DSP has got only one output for sub. or, you can connect your subs directly to the mains speakers, parallel connections. maybe one sub to your left and the other to your right channel.

Dear Zforce,
The Yamaha DSP A1000 has three different options of on-screen display.
Try using the On-screen button on the remote control in order to remove the disturbing display.
If this fails or if your remote control malfunctions then you should contact Yamaha for further assistance.
