TV Problem Hello, I have a Symphonic TV/VCR combo. The video won't eject, and the command on the TV says "Eject T", it usually just says "Eject". Also, it turns on for about 5-10 seconds and then shuts off automatically. I'd appreciate your help please thank you!

Vcr stuck on eject and poiwers off right away

Chances are that something has become damaged inside the unit and as the unit can't get out the tape, powers off to stop any further damage. The only solution will be to remove the video by entering the unit. As this is a TV unit care should be taken of the high voltages connected with the TV part. And should only be undertaken by someone with experiance.

I also have a 19" Symphonic tv vcr combo which

The problem is with the vcr section, it is stuck in eject mode thinking there is a tape. This a mechanical problem that might be repairable. The tv and vcr share some of the same circuits, you can try resetting the tray in the out position as if it fully ejected the tape. Now if this does not work it means you have a gear timing problem or bad sensor.

Tape wont eject

Veri8fy that the belt on the side of the VCR mechanism is intact. If it is, then check that the motor works, by appying 12 volts to it,with the belt disconnected. If the motor works, it might be that your mode switch needs cleaning, and that takes some fancy unsoldering and soldering.

Tv vcr combo

The best way I can think of is to REMOVE the rubber band that loads the tape into the transport unit.Be KILLFULL (careful) the band is right next to the B+ (power supply) or the A\C 120volt
( and if u can find the replacement rubber bands, buy 2 kits)

Symphonic sc1304, vcr problem

Pulley belt stretched, replace. Remove the back cover to tv, slide the chassis out, remove speaker connector, and other ones to allow the chassis to be out away from cabinet to take the metal cover off surrouding the vcr unit. Usually a couple of screws that hold the whole vcr unit in, remove these, lift the unit from the chassis carefully and check the belt as it is stretched and not making tight grip on the white pulleys that perform the mechanical functions of the VCR. When putting back together, and replaced the belt be sure to lift the vcr door inward before sliding the chassis back into cabinet so the door latch will open and close properly, otherwise you put a tape in and the door won't open back up.
