4) If gasket is not torn apart, you can probably seal it again using rectoseal on both sides of washer. This is how I fix problems. Buy rectorseal from home center.

This is referred to as a SPUD gasket and should be readily available at a Lowes or a Home Depot.

pegasus products are a home depot brand can get repair/replacement parts there or,there are multi plumbing supply companies online or can check ur local plumbing supply but most flush valves--flapper-parts can be changed or repaired with parts off the shelf at ur local hardware-wal-mart-home improvement stores

Your going to the wrong store instead of home depot Try Ace hardware they will have the parts you need there.Also some of the new toilets have a flapper valve that has a hole in them and they don't work very good so replace the flapper valve with one without a hole in the flapper and one that has a float on it this way the float will hold the toilet open long enough to flush and not stop in the middle of flushing. The handle should be a standard handle. If you need more help ask and I will give you more information.

Strange that it went, but do you still have it? If so, bring it to your plumbing supply store and they should be able to match it up. Not sure why Home Depot can't help though. If you do not have it, bring the tank so they can try it right there. Good luck and make sure you don't overtighten when reassembling (can crack easier than you think). Can always tighten, but never loosen when it's too late.

You need to replace the tank flapper valve gasket.

a local plumbing supply company with have acsess to a company called master plumber wich will have your part.  you can also go on line and talk to the manufacturer and complain.  they might send you the parts for free.
