It gets a little involved, I would recommend a simple book from say amazon, or google basic guitar wiring. Take an extra couple minutes and apply aluminum foil or adhesive metal tape where you can inside any cavities, then ground it. You'll reduce hum. Use good shielded wire. Practice soldering techniques, a cold solder joint will make the whole project flop.

Hello I have a les paul model 2004. I need to know how to wire up a toggle switch or a diagram for this epiphone. it had a wire that was disconnected inside. thanks

Go to this site and find a guitar with the same configuration of controsl, pickups, etc as yours to see typical diagram. With CAREFUL inspection and good lighting often you can see where the wire broke from.

I am looking for a manual (if there is one) for the Epiphone Sheraton II. I need to know which knobs do what (and also the three way switch) on the guitar. The guitar came with no manual!!

Most likely it is wired like most Gibsons. The volume knobs are the two at the neck end, the tones are the two nearest the rear. The lower two are volume and tone for the bridge pickup, the upper two are for neck pickup. Switch down is bridge or lead pickup, switch up is for neck or rythym pickup, and centre position is both pickups one, where all knobs can be used together.

Epiphone BB King Lucille guitar treble pickup in mono mode

Realize that when you plug into the one jack it disconnects the fingerboard pickup from the mix.

DO NOT USE "stereo" cables as it is intended to use TWO MONO cables, one for each side of the stereo.

IF you plug into the one jack that will connect to the bridge pickup, it will disconnect the fingerboard pickup from the mix BUT leave the fingerboard on its own jack.
That same jack will have BOTH fingerboard and bridge pickups IF the second jack (bridge) is not plugged into.

This is according to the schematic. If you find that yours works backwards, then either the schematic is wrong OR your guitar pickups may be electrically swapped.

Fixing a friends toggle switch on an epiphone

Here is a site:

http://www.gibson.com/Service/Tech/Schematics/

Look at the different versions of Les Paul and find the pone that matches the guitar. They are all near the front of the listing at the site.

The five pin switch is used on the "Ace Freely" version. IF the guitar is that one using the 5 tab switch you willl have to get the correct switch to replace it.

These switches are easily adjusted if it is just a contact problem. If the lever has been broken off they have to be replaced.

Minimal to no bridge

Sounds like you have some microphonic pickups. Only thing to do is replace them. This would be caused by the guitar being hit against something or being dropped.

Epiphone volume and tone controls

The controls should be setup in pairs (as long as the electronics haven't been modified. The two closest to the pickups are the volumes and the other two are the tone controls. The top knob set should be your neck pickup and the bottom set is for the bridge.

Schematics and wiring diagram for the typical les paul (sheraton) controls:
