I just got a Bradford Exchange Purr-fect Moments Kitten Cuckoo Clock and the battery powered clock movement doesn't work. I need to get a new clock movement with the wire that connects it to the bird

Need the specific clock movement for that clock so it coordinates with the bird sounds portion, which works and is powered by 2 C batteries, of the clock or how can I fix the existing movement which is powered by a AA battery?

Bradford is a high end retailer. You can contact them because if the item is not over a year old then it is warrantied. The other thing is you can email them to see about the clock works inside the unit. See this page and look for "contact us" at the bottom.

Cuckoo and action doesn't work

Is this a mechanical cuckoo, or an electronic? If mechanical, probably the strike mechanism is jammed. You might barely, HEED: just barely pull on the weight a tiny bit and see if this does anything. If not, time to get it serviced. If it is an electronic cuckoo, check batteries and contacts.

I have a cuckoo clock . Time is 11 and the cuckoo chimes 8 times . What do I do? It's a non mechanical clock

If the clock is chiming like this it means that the hour hand is out. GENTLY loosen the hands, place the hour hand on the hour that the clock has chimed then fasten the hands in place. Gently move the minute hand clockwise Only, and check each hour that it strikes right. If the cuckoo has a button at the back use that instead. For more information email me at [email protected]

I just got a Bradford exchange hour of glory cuckoo clock from a friend, I need to know how to make the cuckoo work, I installed batteries, wondering if there is something else to do or is it broken.

I am not familiar with the product you have. However, if this is a genuine cuckoo clock, driven by weights, the weights must be "wound", weights pulled to the top of their travel. If this is electronic, I would be looking for a switch. There also may be a electronic eye that prevents the sound at night. Can the eye see the light?

If you just got it, and if my comments don't apply, I am sure a quick call to the Bradford Exchange will solve your trouble, whether it is a step you inadvertently over looked or if the device if fault. I am certain they will help you.

Coaster model 900723 grandfather clock doesn't keep time

Everybody should know that the coaster clocks discussed here run on batteries. The timing mechanisms, the chimes as well as the pendulum all are powered by a battery. Changing the speed of the pendulum is impossible because there is no adjustment. Besides, it wouldn't matter anyway. The pendulum has now affect on the clock's ability to keep accurate time. It is purely aesthetic. This is a pretty cool looking clock and even has weights, but those are also purely aesthetic and do not move the way a classic grandfather clock weight would move. The moments with these clocks are not designed to be worked on. These clocks are relatively inexpensive (approximately $300) but do add a nice look to your home. Grandfather clocks snobs would say though; this is not a true timepiece. They're right... Sorry._1513.jpg

I have a Westclox battery operated wall clock with chicken on face. The battery is new. The second hand tries to move but just "clicks" How can I fix this?

Sounds like it is just worn out.
Sometimes you can replace the generic clock works in these type of clocks. Go online and do a search for battery powered clock works, and see if you can match yours. They are removed quite easily after popping off the clock hands, and removing a nut under the hands that holds the clock works in the chicken.
Here's a link to a site that sells the clock movements... http://www.clockworks.com/
