Sunbeam iron model gcsbcs-212 troubleshooting unit keep turning off while ironing

Sunbeam Model: gcsbcs-212
The outlet cord was bad (pinched from falling off the ironing board) inside where the cord goes into the iron.
1. Remove Bottom Sticker
2.Remove 2 Screws
3. Pry off Sunbeam Back Cover
4. Remove 2 screws
5. Pry off Cover
6. Remove Cord Clip (2 Scews)
7. Cut Cord and Strip off ends ( do I cable at a time) Red Circle
8. Crimp back and Test.

Steam switch won't work

f the iron heats but steams improperly, inspect the soleplate and clean the vents (see below) and flush sediment out of the steam chamber (see below).

If the iron produces too much or too little heat, test the electrical cord . Also test and, if needed, adjust calibration of the thermostat .

Singer 7467 wheel won't spin, unless little bit if I do manualy by hand...

do this

If the iron heats but steams improperly, inspect the soleplate and clean the vents (see below) and flush sediment out of the steam chamber (see below).
If the iron produces too much or too little heat, test the electrical cord . Also test and, if needed, adjust calibration of the thermostat
If the iron does not spray properly, inspect and clean the nozzle (see below).
If the iron leaks or spits, clean the steam vents, nozzle, and tank.
If the iron sticks to fabric, clean or repair the soleplate. If the iron stains fabric, clean the soleplate, clean the tank with a commercial cleaner, and use distilled or filtered water.2_1_2013_6_01_09_pm.jpg

Philips GC 2510 won't light up or heat up

If the iron doesn't heat, make sure power is on to the outlet,,test the outlet with desk lamp for to see if working. check the electrical cord, and check the thermostat + fuse inside replace if necessary.

Rowemta DA1560 won't turn on

1) No voltage to receptacle
2) defective cord or terminal connection
3)open thermostat
4) open heating element
4a) the heating fuse blown
5) test the outlet wal with lamp desk, if work, the iron is the problem follow the steps before mentioned. reset the c.breaker or change the blown fuse is necessary.SEE the diagram

Remington pearl plates won't heat with blue light?

1) you have to test the power cord for broken or fault with VOM
2) inside there are thermal fuse, test it and replace with VOM
3) test the heating element for open and replace, and test for ground
4) test the thermostat, and adjust it.

Iron does not heat up

try to open the terminal box of your flat iron use the ohmmeter test one prod on line one of service cord of plug to line one if you got a resistance or continuity it means line one of your cord is ok together with the line 2 test it possible your cord damage or try to test the heating element if has a resistance it means good or try to adjust the setting on rotate knob or fuse busted replace it.
