How to fix a Keurig coffee pot?

I'm on my 3rd one. The Keurig is almost impossible to open up without breaking it. There is an air pump inside that forces hot water out of the hot water tank. I found one on E-bay and replaced it trying to fix my last one. It still didn't work, I spent money for nothing, and my case was now broken. I threw it out and bought a new one.

I have asked my question twice It has not been answered yet WHY?

Hard call without seeing the failure.

No hot water? Does the heating light come on? If so, then the element is gone. Not economical to replace it.

Humming sound? What frequency? Is it a pump that runs continuously? If a tube is broke, it might be repairable. A bad pressure sensor will not be.

If the sound is a 60 cycle low hum you may have an electrical failure and possibly a dangerous machine. A wiring problem has a small possibility of repair.

Keurig won't brew, only 2 months old, not a descaling problem

If it's only 2 months old you should contact Keurig directly. They have awesome customer service and will probably replace your unit. I have read numerous postings that they will do it even if you did not register your machine.

I put milk in my Keurig and now it won't work...i think the milk burned

..wait..you mean you poured actual milk into the water reservoir on a Keurig coffeemaker..?

That's not good.
What prompted you to do that?

My advise would be to boil water in a kettle, adding about a half-cup of regular vinegar. Pour this into the coffeemaker and let it run through a cycle with just the hot water/vinegar solution. Next, run plain hot water through it.

Hopefully, this will help with flushing out any/all milk that's clogging the coffeemaker. You may have to do this several times to remove the milk residue..milk will cling. (and will start to smell foul..which may or may/not attract insects) so don't ever do that again!

Phoning Keurig Customer and product support may assist you further. They are generally very helpful with all inquiries and issues.

Our Keurig is in Australia using a transformer for voltage. Brand new and keeps telling us to prime ????

Hi. Open the steam/hot water outlet while it is heating. This allows the air to come out, and water to fill the water circuit. The pump will be noisy at first, but will quiten when water has filled it. Good luck and enjoy your coffee. Dazza. Repairer 0401 200 901. Queensland

Keurig coffee maker is on, lights lit, machine said it is brewing but no water is coming out

Even though the light is on, this does not mean the element that heats the water is working. After you fill the machine with COLD water, and the light has been on for a few minutes, unplug the machine and dump the water out into a bowl. Carefully, feel the water. Is it hot? OR just warm? Or still cold? If it is warm, the element is not heating properly. If it is cold, the element is NOT working. If the water is HOT, then perhaps the tube from the water storage reservoir to the brewing basket is clogged. If that tube is clogged, it needs to be removed from the machine and cleaned out. If the element is not working, or heating the eater hot enough, that element needs replacement. Chances are, the replacement cost/cost of repair would be more then a new coffee maker.

Heating light stays on

I contacted Keurig at 866-901-2739. Based on my serial number, I was still within my 1 year warranty. They determined that my heating element was bad, based on the fact that the the area above the power cord was not at all hot, which it would be if it was truly heating.

My new machine will arrive via FedEx in 3 days!

The Keurig rep did also mention that the heating elements are sensitive to hard well water, which I have. They have seen issues where hard water requires you perform more frequent de-scaling of the brewer, depending on water hardness. Alternatively, we may switch to bottled water.
