What is wrong with th sound on my tv. Toshiba 42"

The sound keeps going fuzzy and sometimes cuts off completely. I have to turn it off and on again. What is the problem? Can it be fixed?

Check the ff speaker,input/output amplifier , pre amplifier, audio signal from tuner or srs settings if possible

SOURCE: 42" dlp tv has sound but no picture, replaced lamp already

Replace the ballast.

sometimes its the hdmi cable input
to trouble shoot that switch to another type of input . like video an audio cables or channel 3/4
if it still happens then the audio circuit in tv is to blame.

It has shrunk to about 6 inches all the way around the screen so the total picture sizr is 36 inches instead of the 42 inches otherwise clear picture little fuzzy when turning on but becomes a clear

Don't know what wires your using to connect to tv. It does matter, sometimes the connections go bad, either at the tv or cable box. Have you tryed to stretch picture in settings?

There is an energy save setting on your controls. Turn that off if you don't want tv to keep turning off while you are changing inputs. Hope this helps.

My 36'' Toshiba televisions picture keeps going fuzzy then if you turn it off and on the picture comes back on. Also when watching movies we lose the picture but hear the sound. Once again if I turn off...

I would start with the Tcon but the main would do this as well, along with the power board...test the voltages coming from the ps board when its giving issues and see if they are ok, if they are try the tcon board
