I had this problem a couple of years ago and Dyson informed me how to clear the fault i.e. switch off, hold the temperature button while pushing the start button then push soil button within 5 seconds. This worked for me but recently when the problem recurred the Dyson solution failed to restore the machine to operational condition. From reading other contributions to Dyson washing machine sites I learned how to remove the front panel and how to access the door lock microswitch system. Using this information I accessed the doorlock actuator behind and attached to the panel and realised that a very complicated arrangement could be modified very easily. The cable leading from the base of the machine to the actuator contains 5 individual wires leading to a connector. Split this connector and gain access to one brown and one yellow wire, ignore the other 3 wires. Make a bridge to connect the incoming brown and yellow feeds thus bypassing the actuator and reassemble the front panel etc. As an 86 year old I lacked the strength to refit the outer door so I now operate my machine with a superfluous front door dumped in a corner.

You can take your voltage regulator and alternator off and take to most auto parts store and they can test them to be sure.
A 5 amp drain is significant if it is a constant drain. You might want to use an accurant clamp on amp meter to troubleshoot it. I assume you installed a fuse panel, so start by pulling all fuses, and then putting them in one at a time - write down your readings. The one that is highest is probably the line you need to troubleshoot.
But before you go through all that, do you have a refrigerator on your boat that is DC? If so, I would make sure that it is turned off before spending time troubleshooting.
must be on demonstation mode, manual says the following: press ENERGY SAVER BUTTON AND FREEZER/HOLD 3 SEC FOR POWER FREEZER BUTTON simultaneously for 3 seconds until an alarm sound is heard.

Just use 568-B or 568-A on both ends of the same cable.

The color is not so important as the cable follow the same standard on both ends.
It has been my misfortune to find non-standard wiring in a facility, so long as they keep the relationship of the pins the same it will work, if the installer did not then you cannot trust any of the work and MUST either redo it all or have it all tested and certified by a cometent network cable installer.

To my knowledge a 1993 Dodge Dakota would have the below wiring arrangements for its stereo/head unit: Constant 12V+ Red/Blue Switched 12V+ Red/White Ground Chassis Illumination Black/Yellow Dimmer Orange Left Front (+) Dark Green Left Front (-) Blue/Orange Right Front (+) Purple/White Right Front (-) Brown/Blue Left Rear (+) Brown/Yellow Left Rear (-) Brown/Red Right Rear (+) Blue/White Right Rear (-) Blue/Red
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Keep a thermometer handy. (adjust temperature control knob accordingly)
Periodically monitor temperatures inside your cooler. (adjust as necessary)
Keep the refrigerator door closed as much as possible to avoid temperature fluctuations
The temperature of the refrigerator compartment is
controlled by adjusting/setting the thermostat control
knob, located on the ceiling of the refrigerator
cabinet.
To start the refrigerator, and achieve maximum
cooling quickly;
• Turn the temperature control knob (using a coin
or screwdriver) clockwise to the furthest
(maximum) setting on the darker blue section of
the graduated control dial.
• Allow the refrigerator to run at this setting for 3~4
hours.
• When maximum cooling is achieved, turn back
the temperature control knob setting to the 2:00
o'clock position on the graduated blue control
dial.
• Correct cooling temperature is a key factor to
consider in storing and dispensing draught beer.
• Optimum temperature for serving draught beer is
between 34ºF ~ 38ºF.(1ºC ~ 3ºC)
• To maintain temperatures ranging between
34ºF ~ 38ºF.(1ºC ~ 3ºC) We recommend the
thermostat knob be positioned at the "2:00
o'clock" setting on the graduated blue control dial.
• To turn off the refrigerator, (no cooling) rotate the
control knob to the "0" position.
