An error occurred while printing a 20 page document that I was duplexing to save paper (making it only 10 pieces of paper vs 20 pieces of paper). The last two pages printed but were not duplexed. How

My Canon PIXMA MG5220, has an error that occured while printing a 20 page document that I was duplexing to save paper (making it only 10 pieces of paper vs 20 pieces of paper). The last two pages printed but were not duplexed. The computer says there was a printing error. The LCD screen says there is a printing error. I turned it off, then turned it back on, but as soon as it is done becoming ready to print, immediately the two lights on the front near the power button start blinking. One is an orange-like light, the other is green. Usually green is solid, unless printing. Now both will blink intermittently. I've tried to find answers and I'm always told to 'refer to the manual' but see, I don't have the manual because when I bought the printer about 4 years ago, it was a display and the store couldn't find the manuals or dvd with drivers on it. The printer has worked excellently otherwise, and I installed the print drivers via the Canon website .. but I never received a manual, except a setup manual, and it doesn't have anything in it about troubleshooting except for troubleshooting setup. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can I print on both sides of the page

Here are the instructions for duplex printing.

I have a lexmark x6570 printer it will not print on both sides of the paper anymore it use to print on one side then pull the paper back in as use the other side

Please follow steps below on how to print 2-sided on your printer:
Printing on both sides of the paper (duplexing) automatically:
  1. Press printmastert_76.jpg.
  2. With a document open, click File > Print.
  3. Click Properties, Preferences, Options, or Setup.
  4. Click the Print Layout tab
  5. From the Duplexing area, select Use Printer Settings from the drop-down box.
  6. Make sure the printmastert_77.jpg light is on.
  7. Click OK to close any printer software dialogs that are open.

Printing on both sides of the paper (duplexing) manually:
  1. With a document open, click File > Print.
  2. Click Properties, Preferences, Options or Setup.
  3. Click the Print Layout tab.
  4. From the Duplexing area, select Manual from the drop-down box.
  5. Select the Print manual duplex instructions check box.
  6. Press Start.
  7. The printer prints the odd-numbered pages and the instruction sheet, which describes how to flip and reload the paper.
  8. Following the instruction sheet, flip and reload the paper with the printed side facing away from you.
  9. The printer then prints the even-numbered pages on the reverse sides of the odd-numbered pages, completing the two-sided sheets.
Note:
  • printmastert_78.jpg button is not functional with a Macintosh operating system. You can print two-sided documents with a Macintosh operating system by using the settings in the Two-Sided menu of the Print dialog.
  • Automatic two-sided printing (duplexing) works only with plain paper in letter and A4 sizes. If you want to print two-sided documents on another size or type of paper, use the manual duplexing method.
  • To return to single-sided printing, make sure the printmastert_79.jpg light is not on.

How can i print both sides of paper on my magiccolor5550

IF you have the optional duplex unit installed on your printer then when you go to print something, your printer setup screen should have a duplex/2 sided printing box you can check. This will be under printing preferences or properties. If you do NOT have the optional duplex option then you have to manually duplex. That means on say a 2 page document that you want 10 copies of you have to print 10 copies of page 1. Then take those 10 copies and place them back into the paper tray and print 10 copies of page 2 onto the backs of page 1.
Those are you 2 choices for duplex printing.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

We can duplex copy but not duplex print on the KM Bizhub 250. When printing from the computer, in the Konica Document Properties Window on the Layout tab, when the Print Type pull down screen is activated...

Hello
See if you have selected weight paper from the tray in the duplex mode.
Weight paper is selected in duplex mode only from the bypass.
So you check that the paper in the tray 1 or tray 2 must be plain paper and in duplex mode it can print normally.

Double sided issues

Duplex means 2 sided copying. If you have an odd number of pages, then it will do this if you are sticking them all together (if I understand what you are saying correctly). Either seperate your jobs or stick a blank piece of paper at the end to correct this. Again, I am not sure if I am understanding your situation correctly, but I think that will correct it if its what I think you are saying? Clear as mud, huh?
