Do you have an internet connection when you try to use the translator?
As the name suggests, it's an online translator so you need internet access to use it.

Check the security settings on your WiFi router and make sure the tab has access and permission to connect out.

Have you checked that the tablet's ip address is not being blocked by your router or if you need to grant the ip address access

are you actually shutting down the game?
i.e. by double pressing the home button and 'sliding' the app of the top of the page.... if not the game remains sleeping in the background.
try this and then fully poet off using the red power off slide. leave for a couple of mins and turn back on.
re start the game and connect to Facebook.
i did have this problem and found this helped, although i downloaded new update and it has not happen since.

Only if you want to connect to the internet. It's just like your computer. If you're satisfied with the programs and applications you already have on it then you don't need to go online. If you want to go online to get things like weather reports and stock quotes, or to chat with friends or stream movies, then you need some form of internet connection. If you have wifi at home, you can use that. You can go online at any public wifi hotspot, such as at many coffeeshops and libraries.

I never could connect on my android 2.3 phone, but then I read something online about needing to uninstall and re-install the facebook app on the phone... the facebook app came with my phone, and my phone would not let me uninstall it! I WENT TO THE GOOGLE PLAY STORE AND SEARCHED FACEBOOK. When it came up, it had the option to update my facebook app, so I updated it, after that CANDY CRUSH CONNECTED TO FACEBOOK NO PROBLEM... go figure... my phone has automatically updated the facebook app several times, but the candy crush app would never connect until I updated the app manually using the google play store... Bizare!
