Assuming you already know that a password isn't the issue and you know how to handle connecting to a password protected network...
Does your router have mac address filtering turned on? Maybe it's rejecting your tablet because the tablet's mac address list doesn't include the tablet's mac address.

How do I connect to Wi-Fi they keep asking for a password

If they are asking for a password, then the wifi you are attempting to connect to is a secured wifi network. Only unsecured networks can be connected to without passwords. If you are given the password by the network administrator, and enter it when asked, it will connect you to the network. Otherwise, you are attempting to hack a network that you are not authorized to use.

How do I connect my Nexbook 8 to the internet on my laptop

You connect your Nextbook to YOUR WiFI HOME NETWORK (not the Internet) FROM THE NEXTBOOK, not from the laptop. On your Nextbook, go to Settings then Wi-Fi. If your Nextbook is already connected to your WiFi home network you will see the network's name there and you are done. If it is not connected, a list of available WiFi networks appears. Tap on the name of your home network and it will connect to it. If your network is password-protected, you will be asked to enter it.

Safari cannot connect to server on my ipad

Try rebooting your ipad and see if the problem still persists, if not then try go into settings -> WiFi -> then click your network your network and click forget Network, then try to connect to the network again. Or if you use your sim's network then turn off then turn on the mobile network option in the settings menu.
If it still doesnt work, then something is wrong with your WiFi or mobile network. Best thing would be to lodge a complaint or wait for a few days as these things usually sort themselves out on their own. Hope I helped :) !

Will not connect to wifi

  • Touch the Apps Menu button on the Home screen.
  • Open the Settings app.
  • Choose Wireless & Networks.
  • Choose Wi-Fi Settings.
  • Ensure that Wi-Fi is on.
When you see a green check mark next to the Wi-Fi option, Wi-Fi is on.
  • Choose a wireless network from the list.
Available Wi-Fi networks appear at the bottom of the screen. When no wireless networks are listed, you're sort of out of luck regarding wireless access from your current location.
    Optionally, type the network password.
Touch the Password text box to see the onscreen keyboard.
Touch the Show Password check box so that you can see what you're typing; some of those network passwords can be long.
    Touch the Connect button.
You should be immediately connected to the network. If not, try the password again.

    The wifi will not connect

You have to go through the settings menu and then to wifi. From there you want to make sure the check is green. If it is green there should be a list of wifi networks in the local area.
If it wont turn green: there is likely an issue with the device. You can try updating the rom (see the support tab on the velocity cruz website). This can many times fix issues. If this was done I would try doing it again to make sure there was no glitch and if it still fails contact the seller or velocity.

If there are networks: Try connecting to the one you know (or that you know is safe). You probably need a password to get on. That is something you'll have to find out, it was set with your wifi router/adapter. If you want to try a place that has wifi you can go to starbucks or something similar where you know there is wifi and it is free. This should give you access to a network to troubleshoot that. If you see networks and cannot connect at all there is likely an issue with the device and you should contact the seller or velocity.
If there aren't networks: You need to ensure that there are networks in the general area. Using a laptop that has wifi enabled and an adapter either built in, usb, or card, generally shows networks. If other devices find networks and your cruz doesn't try updating the firmware (cruz website>support tab). If you still cant find networks that other devices can there is likely an issue with the wireless card within the device and you should contact the seller and/or velocity for an exchange.
    good luck

My tablet is not connecting wireless although it clearly has a signal

    There's an instructional video here:
    http://support-us.samsung.com/spsn/howto.jsp?channelId=1280&scheduleId=3433

If that doesn't work, try connecting to an open / unsecured network to see if that works.

If you can connect to an open wifi, but not an encrypted one it most likely is because either the password was entered incorrectly or you're using an encryption type not supported by the tablet.

Please leave feedback if this was helpful. Thanks.

I cannot connect my Literati to WIFI

Ok! This is what I fund out personally. The WiFi connection needs to be a non-hot Wifi network. Meaning certain Wifi connections have a security lock preventing any file transfers. I tried several locations to make a connection (Coffee shops, Mc D's, Library, Work, etc.). The Best wy to connect your Literati is to find a friend who has a WiFi ruouter and ask him/her of there password temporarly.

Now you need to enable the Wifi under the settings area by hitting the menu button ans scroll down to the settings tab. select the Wifi or wireless option. Enable the Wifi and your unit should start scanning the area networks. This is where you'll find your friends link or an open unsecure network. Do not select any links that have a pad lock unless your know there password. Once you join, wait about 1 minute and the unit will prompt you to update the software. From here it all down hill..

How to connect wifi network in archos 28 internet tablet

This is normal. To save energy, the ARCHOS always starts up with the WiFi set to off. You must manually use the Fn-F3 keys if you want to activate the WiFi connection.
I cannot connect to the Internet over WiFi, what's wrong? Make sure that your WiFi is activated. This can be turned on and off with the blue function key pressed down and then the F3 key. The blue WiFi indicator just below the touch-pad will light indicating that it has been turned on.
My WiFi router/modem is on and working, but it does not show up in the list of wireless networks. What's wrong? It could be that the WiFi modem/router is hiding its SSID. This is done for security purposes sometimes. You can either change this on the WiFi modem/router (see its instructions) so that it broadcasts its SSID (and then you'll see it in the list on your ARCHOS 10) or you can go into the advanced settings of the Wireless Network Connection screen to the Wireless Networks tab and 'add' a new connection. You will need to know the SSID name and its other connection parameters.
