Check and replace damaged component/s at its horizontal scan output section circuit. Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor. Check the input voltage to LOT. If the voltage is absent check the feeder resistor; if any. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. SOURCE: Tv out of Focus

Well you did start out good, thats cool, now we have to define focus, Is ir blurry around the edges as well as the whole Picture? If it is, it could be the picture tube, A bad solder connection on the tube socket, and yes it could also be the flyback transformer.

SOURCE: Sanyo ST-21G1 dead set

There should be a small valued cap in the primary side (22ufd?) at 250V. Check that. Also, look for other small caps int he range of 2.2ufd with 200V ratings in the same general area.

SOURCE: TV power supply problem

.01 mf 2000 volt. in flyback circuit .it is a timing capacitor. the red high voltage block is bad and that took out the capacitor. also check the horizontal output transistor...it is probably shorted.

In onida tv d2498 and fuse in power supply gone on connecting ac.Without main board installing please help

If it's not the main board that's causing the fuse to blow then you have a short circuit somewhere in the power supply. Check things like the electrolytic capacitors. The ones that look like little cans. They should all have flat tops. If any are bulging out at the top they will need replacing. Also check the bridge rectifier which is a black component usually standing up on the board with four legs. If there is no bridge rectifier there will be 4 rectifier diodes together. They are black cylindrical items with a sliver band on one end and a lead out of each end. They are usually located near to where the mains lead enters the power board. Other things to check are power transistors, they are usually 3 legged, (sometimes 2 legs if they are used as a diode) black items with their case fixed to a heat sink (aluminium block.)

NO POWER AT ALL

Hi
our tv set need to be serviced. Here are some tips:
1. Open main fuse. The fuse is clean but interrupted. You can try replacing it with one o the same value.
2. Fuse Blown or blackened. Short in the rectifier bridge or in the switching transistor. Out of the power supply: supply line rectifier (100/150V) shorted.

Whirlpool white magic no power

Possible that the power supply has failed, if so check the fuse, the surge capacitor or the mains capacitor, rectifier or the drives in the board. If the fault seems centered into the board, then it must be replaced.

Crest audio ca4 blowing fuse

There is two possibillities to fuse blown off due to hi current flowing through fuse more than 3amp.because power supply componant like rectifying diode, filter capacitor or regulator ic ,regulator transistor shall be short circuited.
if you are tech......just remove amp. supply.from main power supply...try with another fuse........if fuse ok, fault is amp side, or if fuse blow off ...power side problem just....maximum fault comming on varistor ,diode, filter capacitor, .........
if you are not tech......... give to local authorised tech.......

My Bose radio stopped working, no sound no lights AWRCC1

Hello
Check its power cord first. If it is OK, check its power supply section inside. There will be a fuse at the power supply rectifer board. Check it. If it is found opened [damaged] never put an other fuse, without proper check to the power supply and main audio amplifier section. There must be some reason for the blow up of this fuse. Without rectifying the fault, replacing an other fuse, may make more components to get damaged, and the repair work may cost more. OK.

I have a Sharp model LC-42sb45u that will not turn on since power outage.

Voltages sometime increase/decrease during power outages. This mainly afftects the power supply of a lot of electronics equipment.
1. Check the fuse.
2. Check primary components like; Bridge rectifier, filter cap, switching components etc.
3. Check secondary (cold) side once you isolate the primary side to be ok.
Please consult a professional technician if you are not skilled in electronics repairing.

All the best

Fuse is ok no 24v or other outputs

Your switched Mode Power Supply has failed... Check the output from the bridge rectifier, check the Controller IC, ALL the Electrolytic Capacitors, Do a "Dry" "Diode" multimeter test on all discrete components. Check for voltage on the pins of the DC side of the fly-back transformer too. Check for shorts.

Does it have a fuse we got hit by lighting and now the Pc wont power up

To fix the problem, you need to disassemble the power supply, replace the burnt out fuse, & also check the bridge rectifier section for burnt out rectifying diodes (these usually get burnt out if the high current gets the chance to leak past the fuse, which could sometimes happen). If you find burnt out rectifying diodes, you will need to replace them as well, as they could burn out the fuse again when you try to use the power supply while they are still there.

No power to unit stand by light does not come on. cr2405a-pa

Check to make sure the fuse has not blown inside the plug and whilst its unplugged open up the CD player and see if the Fuse inside has burnt out, that being the case put another one into it of the correct rating as it should say it on the silver ends of the glass tube. If it blows again you got a problem with another component called a Diode or Bridge Rectifier which has become faulty or a faulty mains voltage capacitor ( Big Blue can ) on the power supply.

Dead Set after power surge

Check the power supply transformer primary driver transistor and the associated components (some diodes and capacitors, resistors, an optocoupler maybe) and the rectifier diodes (or a bridge) and capacitors at the transformer secondary, what you are looking for is a short circuit, however, the short may as well be in another section of the circuit board (a shorted component may sometimes have signs of damage caused by heat, but this is not a rule).

Hope you can find out what it is...
