How do I change our recorded message on our Panasonic KX-T7630? Its an old system and I have downloaded manual but it has no instructions. Any help would be appreciated many thanks
Tried downloading manual to no avail! Its a very old model, From memory it was a code that had to be entered in order to get into a menu to change our recorded message.
Re: How do I change our recorded message on our Panasonic...
Hi Caroline, this kx-t760 doesn't have a answering machine function. This is why you can't find it in the user manual.
I can not take credit for this answer as it was answered in sep 2009

The panasonic KX-t7630 doesnt have a answering machine and runs through voice mail.. if you have voice mail set up simple dial your number for voice mail (eg. 500) press 311, then record greeting at the end of tone. hope that helps. http://www.fixya.com/support/t2417399-record_voice_message_oanasonic_kx_t7630

The KX-T7731 is just the phone. The auto attendant is controlled by the PBX. To change the message, please consult the manual for the PBX. If you don't have that manual, please reply to this post and specify the model of your PBX.
Try using the programming software if you have them. Otherwise, there is a procedure on the manual if you have them. I use to download the manuals on the Panasonic webpage.
Correct. It's not in the User's manual, it's in the VOICE MAIL INSTALLATION manual.
Basically, there is no "default" values. Each system is programmed however the installer or customer specifies. Without the guide, you either have to get the orignal installer back or read the database. Panasonic voice mail systems have part numbers and manuals called TVA-50/200 or similar.
The 7630 is just a phone. You have both a phone system and voice mail system and the message is located there. Find another set of manuals and WRITTEN instructions as to where the outgoing messages are stored. In a TVA voice mail system, they are changed via the message manager's mailbox #998.
You can mess around in the Message Manager's mailbox and search for the custom greeting that contains the Lunch menu, but your Voice Mail installer should have left you specific instructions on how to change all greetings and custom service messages. As a minimum, you might give them a call and ask for a refresher in where those recordings reside in your voice mail system.
The Voice Mail be it a TVA or TVS, has a console program and password that will let you log into it and see where everything is located. The dealer should have provided instructions and passwords for administering the system.
You don't "lose" the manual, it comes on a CD. The Panasonic system probably has a TVA voice mail system and it requires you to change the Auto Attendant greeting from the message manager's mailbox. If you don't have the passwords for mailbox 998 and 999, you need to contact someone who has them and a layout of the system.
Your Panasonic technician can guide you through the process.

As the voicemail system can be quite complex with mailbox password setting etc. I think you will need the manual to help you along at some stage, so here is the link, just click on "download"...cheers.
